So today was super interesting. I think I was reminded of something that I forgot to remember. The irony of today was that my affirmation for today was “purpose” (my daughter and I started doing this every morning this week).
Speaking with the girls reminded me of my first love, which was working with teen girls. Before becoming a Life Coach and having my talk show I worked as an Assistant School Psychologist at The Ministry of Education for over a decade counseling teen girls♥️. Before that I was a high school teacher. Since starting Eve’s Journey it has mostly been about:
1. Helping women recover and navigate breakups and unhealthy relationships
2. Helping men and women live the life they really want to live
3. Helping people give their mama and papa back their stuff (figuratively speaking)
4. Helping managers see their bling spots: the good and the bad😫, and helping them get along
5. Helping employees with behavioral issues and personality quirks
6. Offering life coach certification and training other coaches and helping professionals

And so much more…

But Ta-Day was different. Something touched my heart in an extra special way. Today I remembered what led me here. Today I walked the path…

So here I am at a school, about to speak to 13 yr old girls. The topic is “Journey through adolescence. A female perspective”. Honestly I was contemplating giving the host an excuse. I mean what do you say to 13 yr old girls🤷🏽‍♀️. Then I thought about 13 yr old Stanya…a ball of confusion, trying to fit in, looking for love and trying to make sense out of the mess the adults around me created. In that moment I realized that there was much to share!
I got busy creating a list of what I would tell little me if I could. What I noticed was the same advice I was giving “Little Stan” was still applicable to the ME of today😫. I will share my list with you guys shortly. In the meantime what would your tell your 13 yr old self?

How to have what you say that you want?
It’s so easy to settle! Perhaps in a way we all do. But back to this post…How to have what you say that you want?
Well it begins with deciding what you actually want then step 2 is Saying no to what you do not want when it shows up. Sounds like an easy task but we have been settling and gradually giving ourselves away that somehow we started to feel as though we don’t deserve what we want or what we want cannot happen. So how do we start? We start small!
Today I purchased a cookie but when I when I pulled it out the customer service person gave me the wrong one. Normally I would let it go BUT not today and NOT again. I not only got what I wanted but I also have an extra cookie to give to my daughter.
It’s ok to speak up for yourself
It’s ok to show up for yourself
It’s ok to have and ask for what you say that you want!
You deserve it My Loves!
Your task for today and forever is asking for what you want, rather than taking whatever is given.
