Do you often find yourself struggling in spelling but you're awesome with technology? Here are some ways to use technology to improve your spelling:
1) Use GOOGLE! Type in your best effort of the word and hit search. Google usually shows you a suggested word which we've found is almost always the word we're looking for!
2) Ask ALEXA! If you own a device that has Alexa, then ask her to spell the word. For example "Alexa spell obnoxious".
3)Use SPELLCHECK! Most laptops have the spellcheck setting turned on so that when you're typing, incorrectly spelled words will be underlined in red. Simply right click the underlined word and look at the word options that are listed.
4) Use AUTO CORRECT! Although it is our LEAST favorite, auto correct can be used as a LAST resort. If your spelling is mostly accurate, then the first word that pops up on the left side tends to be the correct spelling. Only use this option if 'on the go' and unable to use one of the other options above.
Once you've found the correct spelling of the word, take a minute or two to memorize the spelling. Find creative ways to do so. I remember as a child, I often struggled with spelling the word occurrence but my mom taught me a simple trick. She said "Always remember it has two corners and two roads". Corners represented the letter c while roads represented the letter r. We hope this LIFE tip is helpful to you :)
