📚✨ Celebrating International Literacy Day ✨📚
In recognition of UNESCO International Literacy Day, the Language Arts Department, in collaboration with the C.R. Walker Literacy Club, facilitated by Senior Teacher Ms. Lorraine Francis, hosted a day filled with learning, inspiration, creativity, and FUN! 🎉📖

🌟 Our 12th Grade students had the privilege of hearing from the dynamic and inspirational Pastor Diana Francis, who challenged students to reflect on the importance of literacy and what being literate means for their lives—not only today, but also for their future. Her message encouraged students to recognize that literacy is more than simply reading and writing; it is a powerful tool for unlocking opportunities, expressing ideas, making informed decisions, and shaping their future. 💡🚀

🧠🔤 The Typoglycemia Challenge!
Students put their brains to the test as they participated in a fun and fascinating Typoglycemia Challenge, proving that our minds can work in amazing ways when making sense of words!

👕📚 WEAR A WORD!
The creativity continued with our exciting “Wear a Word” activity! Teachers and students proudly wore vocabulary words throughout the day. The challenge? Learn it. Use it. Share it! 🗣️✨

Students were encouraged to learn the meaning of their assigned words and find opportunities to use them naturally in conversation throughout the day. Talk about turning vocabulary into action! 🙌🏽
