Nelson A. Ranger Scholarship Fund & Golf Camps

Nelson A. Ranger Scholarship Fund & Golf Camps I was introduced to the game of golf in my 20’s by Andrew & Kerry Bowe. Both Kerry and Andrew were avid golfers and took me whenever they went to play.

I started off just driving the golf cart, but once I learned the fundamentals of the game through their teachings, they couldn’t get me off the golf course. It is through their introduction to the game of golf that had a substantial impact on my life. Andrew encouraged me to never stop learning and insisted I study the Practical and Theory of golf. I attended the San Diego Golf Academy (now the Va

. College) and graduated with a degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management. My degree allowed me the opportunity to work at various properties in the United States, such as Highland Springs Golf Club, Virginia; Royal Virginia Golf Club, Virginia; Shenandoah Crossing Golf Club, Virginia; Prince George Golf Club, Virginia; Country Club Hills Family Golf Center, Illinois. As well as the Lyford Cay club; Ocean Club Golf Course; Lucayan Golf Club; Reef Club; Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma; and the Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club in the Bahamas. I am forever indebted to Andrew & Kerry Bowe and choose to honor their legacy by holding an annual golf tournament in their memory to raise money for the scholarship fund.

Our Junior Tennis Clinics are officially back!

We kicked off our first session with some active laps around the courts and basic skill-building to help our new players and returning athletes settle in.

We also handed out school supplies to the participants, and we are incredibly excited for a fantastic season ahead.

Our top priority is ensuring all of the children have fun while learning and mastering this great game.

A special thank you to all the parents for bringing your children out and supporting their athletic journey.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to Coach McPhee for your unwavering dedication to this program, and to the Friends of Exuma for your generous sponsorship.

Here’s to a great season of tennis! 🎾
