We are honoured to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Wolvercote, Oxford, UK and have an integral part of our team in Africa as Malawi's premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, grappling and Judo academy in the capital, Lilongwe. The head instructor is 1° BJJ black belt Mark Kalch who is based in Oxford. Currently our UK kids classes are:

Awesome BJJ weekend in the Lake District thanks to .bridgeguesthouse and A real pleasure to give one of the 4 seminars given to a mixed crew of BJJers (sorry the pic of everyone there doesn't fit! 😁). An honour to be present for and James Pullan receiving their brown belts and so much for lifelong martial artist the founder of Can Do Martial Arts Dojo in Abingdon awarded his black belt! 🙏🥋🤼🥲😁 PS. Not to forget meeting coach Phillip Cottingham.

You know it's approaching end of year when kids classes blow out to 2 hours of warm-up, revision, grappling on the big screen, paper fighter jet comp, tennis ball knock em' down, pairs and teams tug-o-war, Nerf RPG-7 attack and of course, rolling! 😁 I was thinking that it was our 2021 finale but we have another next week! 🤣🙏🙏🏿🥋🤼
If anyone is thinking about after school sport and activities for their children in the new year term, get in touch and come on down Wednesday December 29th to get an idea of what we get up to. Two things come to mind - hard training and fun!

Hard work, works. One thing you get to learn in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu pretty fast, whether you are a kid, a parent or an adult student, is that stripes and belts are earned. Always.
Watching other martial arts (you know who you are!) sucker in kids, parents and even adults into the reward of new coloured belts and fancy certificates all for extra bucks paid is both funny and sad.
Just so you know, that won't happen with our team, ever. Ilya has worked bloody hard to earn his first stripe and I am proud to give it to him. To be fair I did promise I wouldn't mention his awesome hair cut but...🙏😁

Northern hemisphere training in the cold and dark while the rest of the team grind it out in southern hemisphere heat and sun. Either way, no good reason to stop. None of us do, ever.

Better yourself, every day! BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU leads you there. No ifs or buts. I never shy away to say that it takes damn hard work. That is the key! If your children right now need something to ignite their lives, training with us will do it.
