St. Paul's School - British International School in São Paulo

Welcome to St Paul’s, the British School of São Paulo; a world class school and the first South American School to be recognised by the UK government as a British School Overseas. We are very proud of our strong heritage, traditions and values but are constantly looking forward; seeking to innovate and improve at every age and stage for every one of our pupils. Excellent teaching and learning and the very best pastoral care and co-curricular provision lies at the very heart of the school. With our bicultural and bilingual Anglo-Brazilian curriculum, we embrace both cultures and languages and have a strong set of shared values which shape and nurture the experience that our pupils enjoy. We are a family school with over 1,000 boys and girls, aged 3 to 18, all finding their way on their exciting learning journey and brilliantly supported by dedicated teachers, staff and the wider school community of parents and Old Pauleans.

Enzo and João Gabriel, Old Pauleans from the Class of 2025, recently returned to St. Paul’s and reflected on what they have carried with them beyond the school gates.

They are both on exciting new academic paths, and we are happy to see how their experience at St. Paul’s, supported by the Fundação St. Paul’s Scholarship Programme, prepared them for life outside the classroom.

Their reflections are a reminder that a Paulean education leaves lasting connections, memories and perspectives that stay with our students as they take their next steps and remain part of the community for years to come.

Form 3 pupils visited the Museu da Imigração, where they explored the stories, journeys and experiences of the people who migrated to Brazil and helped shape the country’s diverse society.

Through the museum’s exhibitions and historical collections, they deepened their classroom learning while reflecting on themes of migration, identity, belonging and cultural diversity.

Last week, we celebrated Brazilian Culture Week at St. Paul’s. 🇧🇷💛

The special days brought plenty of colour and energy to our campus, with activities and experiences inviting pupils to explore the richness of Brazilian culture.

From music, food and traditions to conversations about culture and identity, each experience brought our international community even closer to the country we call home.

St. Paul’s Careers and University Guidance team, in partnership with Inteli, welcomed clinical and sports psychologist Aline Wolff for an insightful conversation with parents about sustainable high performance.

Drawing on her experience in the mental preparation of elite athletes, including Olympic medallist Rebeca Andrade, Aline shared practical strategies for helping young people pursue academic and professional goals while maintaining emotional balance and mental wellbeing.

The session encouraged an important conversation around how families can support achievement in a way that is healthy, sustainable and attentive to the whole person — an essential perspective as pupils prepare for their futures. 🦁✨

To celebrate Brazilian Culture Week, we invited some of our international staff to share a little about their experience of living in São Paulo, from the Brazilian food they have grown to love to their favourite things about the city, along with a few discoveries they have made along the way. 🦁✨

As part of their IB Visual Arts journey, pupils visited Es Devlin’s immersive exhibition “Sou o Outro do Outro” at Casa Bradesco, experiencing how art can transform space, perspective and the way we engage with the world around us.

The outing offered pupils an opportunity to encounter contemporary artistic practice in a new context, encouraging them to observe and reflect on how ideas can be expressed through immersive experiences.

St. Paul’s recently hosted the UK University Counsellor Forum, welcoming representatives from 14 UK universities alongside counsellors from international schools across São Paulo for a day of meaningful exchange around British higher education. 🇬🇧

The forum created space for deeper conversations about the UK university landscape, strengthening connections between schools and institutions while giving counsellors valuable insights to better support pupils considering their next steps.

St. Paul’s pupils also had the opportunity to meet university representatives directly, ask questions and learn more about studying in the UK, bringing these conversations closer to those preparing for their own university journeys.
