Afinal, como dizer "estou de férias" em inglês? Seria: I'm on vacation ou I'm on holiday?

- "on vacation" é uma expressão usada no inglês americano, enquanto "on holiday" é uma expressão usada no inglês britânico. 

"Vacation" é uma palavra americana que significa "férias". É usada para indicar um período mais longo de afastamento do trabalho ou da escola. 

"Holiday" é uma palavra britânica que significa "férias" ou "feriado". É usada para indicar um período de lazer, como feriados específicos, Natal, Ano Novo ou datas comemorativas. 

Para saber se deve usar "vacation" ou "holiday", é preciso ficar atento ao contexto e ao país.

Today we reflect on Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-45). This beautiful encounter is filled with joy, faith, and the powerful presence of God.
Mary, carrying Jesus in her womb, brings the light of Christ to Elizabeth and John, who leaps with joy at His presence. Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, proclaims Mary as “blessed among women” for her faith and obedience.
As we prepare for Christmas, this Gospel reminds us to bring the light of Christ to others through love, service, and kindness. Let’s make our hearts ready to welcome Him and share His joy with the world.

Hoje foi muito último dia de trabalho do ano no Adamastor, se volto ano que vem? Ainda não sei, I hope so, mas como hoje é Thanksgiving só tenho a agradecer essas pessoas maravilhosas que passaram o ano todo comigo.
