'A visit to a museum is a search for beauty, truth, and meaning in our lives. Go to museums as often as you can.' Maira Kalman
I've probably told you this story, but I 'm a teacher, and teachers love telling people stories (and repeating them😁).
The first museum I visited in my life was the , last century, and many years ago.😊 It was a school outing, we went walking to the museum, where we were welcomed by its founder. I was very impressed with everything, but the mustache cup ☕️👨 was the best one!
That was the beginning of my passion for museums, time, art, history, and culture. After that, I've visited dozens of them in my state, country, South, North America, and Europe. However, this one is in my town and in my ❤️.
I'm highly happy to be part of this project that depicts exclusive photos related to local monthly events of our town and region. Last but not least, my huge thank you to Museu Histórico, my business partners, and friends who also support education, history, culture, and technology.
* Limited edition.
**The mustache cup will be shown in another post.😄
*** The calendar costs 25 reais, around 5 dollars or 4 euros.
It'll never be too late.

So 😊 happy to share with you that for the first time in the history of this country, an indigenous native has become a member of the Brazilian Literature Academy, the foremost institution devoted to the Portuguese language in Brazil, established in 1897.
Ailton Krenak is a journalist, a writer, a philosopher, and an indigenous leader of Krenak ethinicity.
At the right moment, a reception is happening at the Academy to celebrate it, and the menu chosen by Ailton is made up of fruit juice, sweets made from banana, coconut, and other Brazilian fruits, besides herbal drinks.
I really hope that one day we are able to show you a little of this beautiful country, replete with different cultures, traditions, and history.
We are a young country with several problems to be solved, for sure. Yes, there are good and bad people; yes, there is corruption, illiteracy, social inequality, and more.
Nevertheless, as an educator and as a teacher, I truly believe that the only solution for all those issues is through education, and Ailton is definitely part of it.
It'll NEVER be too late to learn more about Brazil and our rich culture.

Thursday mood: blue flowers, the color blue (azul), and Villa-Lobos music.
The flower 'azulzinha' (or blue daze in English) is native to South America, although there aren't many blue flowers in Brazil.
It will never be too late to visit a different part of this beautiful country. 😊

'We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience. ' Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
The Sanctuary of Sacred Heart of Jesus is an important pilgrimage site in our town, and it was built next to the Padre Reus' tomb. Padre (priest) Reus (Johann Baptist Reus) was a German-Brazilian religious leader born in Bavaria in 1868. In 1893, he joined the Society of Jesus and was sent to Brazil (to our town), where he was a theology teacher for many years. His autobiography and diary record mystical graces and visions, and he is considered a saint by people from the region and around Brazil.
My personal experience with this place dates from my childhood. I remember seeing several cement, wood, or stone benches around the sanctuary, with inscriptions thanking God for grace; people praying by the tomb, and putting flowers on it. The little shop is relatively new, and you can find all kinds of things there, from scapulars to books, including the Pe. Reus' biography. Remember, 1 € = R$ 5,42 (Brazilian Real).
Today, it is still quiet, special, and unique. The smell of the candles, the green of the grass, and the blue of the sky bring us peace and a profound sense of gratitude.
Happy Easter!🙏🐣🪺🐰🛐 Feliz Páscoa
