📚 ADJECTIVES vs. ADVERBS
Você sabe a diferença entre adjectives e adverbs? Apesar de muitas vezes serem parecidos, eles têm funções diferentes na frase.
🔴 ADJECTIVES (adjetivos) descrevem substantivos — pessoas, lugares, objetos ou situações. Eles mostram como alguém ou alguma coisa é.
• beautiful → She is a beautiful person.
• clear → This is a clear explanation.
• careful → He is a careful driver.
• quick → It was a quick decision.
• happy → They are a happy couple.
🔵 ADVERBS (advérbios) geralmente dão mais informações sobre uma ação, mostrando como algo acontece. Muitos são formados acrescentando -ly ao adjetivo.
• beautifully → She sings beautifully.
• clearly → He explained the idea clearly.
• carefully → She drives carefully.
• quickly → They finished the work quickly.
• happily → He smiled happily.
💡 Uma forma simples de lembrar:
Adjective: descreve como alguém ou algo É.
👉 She is careful.
Adverb: descreve como alguém FAZ alguma coisa.
👉 She drives carefully.
🇬🇧 Beautiful → beautifully | Clear → clearly | Careful → carefully | Quick → quickly | Happy → happily
