Non-Monogamies and Contemporary Intimacies

Están abiertas las convocatorias para la presentación de trabajos (académicos, activistas y artísticos) para la 5ª Conferencia No Monogamias e Intimidades Contemporáneas (NMCI).
El evento se realizará los días 29 y 30 de noviembre (en línea) y 03, 04 y 05 de diciembre (presencial – UFRJ Brasil).
La 5ª Conferencia NMCI (No Monogamias e Intimidades Contemporáneas) es un espacio de reflexión y diálogo inter y transdisciplinar, que reúne diferentes áreas como Derecho, Ciencias Sociales, Psicología, Ciencias de Salud, Comunicación, Artes, además de movimientos sociales. El evento busca integrar una serie de perspectivas críticas sobre género y sexualidad, familia y parentesco, colonialidad, raza y etnicidad, derechos humanos y economía política, así como temas transfeministas, teoría queer/cuir, estudios culturales, post y transhumanismo, entre otros.
Con base en estos enfoques, la conferencia abarcará una serie de temas, entre ellos:

1)Estado y derechos
2) Familia y parentesco
3) Movimientos sociales y activismos no monógamos

4) Salud colectiva y psicoterapias

5) Subjetividades, identidades y prácticas sociales –

6) Territorialidad, colonialidad, diferencias culturales y geopolíticas

7) Opresiones de género y prácticas sexuales no monógamas

Submissions are now open for academic, activist, and artistic works for the 5th Conference on Non-Monogamies and Contemporary Intimacies (NMCI).
The event will take place on November 29 and 30 (online) and December 3, 4, and 5 (in person – UFRJ, Brazil).
The 5th NMCI Conference is a space for inter- and transdisciplinary reflection and dialogue, bringing together different fields such as Social Sciences, Psychology, Law, Health Sciences, Communication, Arts, as well as social movements. The event seeks to integrate a series of critical perspectives on gender and sexuality, family and kinship, coloniality, race and ethnicity, human rights, and political economy, as well as transfeminist themes, queer/cuir theory, cultural studies, post- and transhumanism, among others.
Based on these approaches, the conference will encompass a series of themes, including:
1. State and Rights

3. Social Movements and Non-Monogamous Activisms

4. Collective Health and Psychotherapies

5. Subjectivities, Identities, and Social Practices

6. Territoriality, Coloniality, Cultural and Geopolitical Differences

We are thrilled to announce that the upcoming NMCI conference will be held in Valparaíso, Chile, this coming November. As many of you may already know, the deadline for submitting proposals was set for tomorrow, but we have some great news to share. We have decided to extend the call for submissions until June 15th!
