Life is truly surprising.
While many colleagues are ending their careers or entering retirement, I have been blessed with a new beginning. New friends, new challenges, new lessons, and a new opportunity for growth.
It took seven years of preparation. Seven years of sacrifices, saving money, criticism, uncertainty, and many obstacles along the way. But the goal was always clear, and the focus never changed. At every stage of this journey, I had the unconditional support of my family and the guiding hand of God leading my steps.
Even during the pandemic and through the struggles of everyday life, I kept receiving signs that I was on the right path. When everything seemed difficult, something would happen to renew my faith and hope.
Today, I look back and see that every effort was worth it. I was blessed with the opportunity to become part of one of the best dental schools in the United States. A dream that once seemed distant, but became reality through God’s grace, perseverance, and the support of those who walked beside me.
None of this would have been possible without my family, who supported me emotionally, spiritually, and in every way throughout these past seven years. They lived this dream with me.
And above all, all honor and glory belong to God. It was He who opened the doors, strengthened my heart during difficult times, and turned a dream into reality.
The journey continues. With gratitude, humility, and the certainty that the best chapters are yet to come. .guicabral
