We were delighted to welcome Bia Bedran, a renowned singer, author, and one of Brazil’s leading voices in children’s literature and music. Bia is also the mother of our beloved Early Years teacher, Julieta Bedran.
Her visit marked the conclusion of the IPC unit Green Fingers and created a truly special moment for our students. Through the story Stone Soup, Bia inspired the children to reflect on collaboration, sharing, and the joy of creating something together.
Throughout the unit, learning was integrated across subjects. In Portuguese, students explored the world of recipes, while in IPC they investigated the school garden, discovered where food comes from, and learned more about how plants grow.
It was a meaningful celebration of the connections between literature, nature, and learning.
