☆☆>> Another drill associated to our Lima Lima module training. The primary objective resides in the last part of the drill here with the deployment of a knife to knife counter with a finishing move. The first part of the drill is secondary (it serves the primary part by complexifying its ex*****on). This said it is about a first counter empty hand against a bladed attack, avoiding indexation; countering first for self preservation as a condition to deploy a weapon and equalize better the odds. ☆☆《

》☆☆Here is a drill designed to train the deployment of the technique we shown in our latest video within a complexified environment.
The drill emphasizes in its first action the need to prioritize self-preservation against a first attack, doing so creating in turn the space and time required to drawing a weapon and finally deciding to engage the threat with our emphasized technique.
In that exercise we assume that not engaging the threat is not an option, and we aim to lever the use of an EDC blade toward non-lethal applications.
The drill allows to incorporate progressively some facets of stress training, while always favoring high repetitions safely. It’s about favoring gross motor skills and repetitions for implanting relevant attributes.
Check out our previous video for more explanation as to the technique lastly used.☆☆《

》☆☆ So here is a video about transforming what would be a typical Pekiti Tirsia Kali approach (expeditive by nature for a multi opponents « jungle » like environment) to something more acceptable vis a vis the legal framework that the concept of self defense is bringing up along within our modern societies, while using a blade as a tool for self protection.
It’s highly subjective obviously but it gives a frame for high repetition training, and who knows through high repetition a part of it might come handy eventually! ☆☆》
