🇧🇷 Uma trajetória que continua. Uma honra que se renova. Algumas conquistas começam com um convite. E algumas histórias vão muito além do que poderíamos imaginar. Há alguns anos, recebi do querido amigo Prof. Hrvoje Brkić, o convite para integrar a Diretoria da IOFOS. Assumir a Secretaria da principal organização mundial da nossa especialidade foi uma honra imensa e, naquele momento, tornei-me o primeiro (e, até hoje, único) brasileiro e latino-americano a ocupar um cargo na Diretoria. Vieram anos de trabalho, desafios, amizades e muitos aprendizados. A partir de 2023, sob a liderança da querida amiga Profa. Cristiana Palmela Pereira, assumi a Vice-Presidência. E durante a Assembleia Geral da IOFOS 2026, a história continua – sigo como Vice-Presidente e recebo essa recondução com gratidão, honra e muita responsabilidade. À comunidade internacional, obrigado pela confiança. A cada membro da Diretoria Executiva, obrigado pela parceria e aprendizado contínuo. E a todos que fizeram (e fazem) parte dessa caminhada: muito, muito obrigado.
🇬🇧 A journey that continues. An honor renewed. Some achievements begin with an invitation. And some stories go far beyond what we could ever have imagined. A few years ago, I was invited by my dear friend Prof. Hrvoje Brkić, to join the IOFOS Executive Board. Serving as Secretary of the leading international organization in our specialty was an immense honor. At that time, I became the first (and, to this day, only) Brazilian and Latin American to hold this position. Then came years of work, challenges, friendship, and countless learning experiences. In 2023, under the leadership of my dear friend Prof. Cristiana Palmela Pereira, I assumed the position of Vice-President. And now, during the IOFOS 2026 General Assembly, the journey continues — I will remain as Vice-President, and I receive this renewed trust with gratitude honor, and, a deep sense of responsibility. To the international forensic odontology community, thank you for your trust. To every member of the Executive Board, thank you for your partnership and continuous learning.And to everyone who has been (and continues to be) part of this journey: thank you.
