Noel Gallagher, like his music or not, is one the most honest people around. We could all learn a lot from him. Regarding the photograph, unfortunately I don't have the credits, neither know who the photographer is. So if you do know, just tell us.

It's been a while since I last posted something here. Truth is, I've been busy teaching individual classes online. There are more than 30 students taking private classes at the moment. They have varied occupations and come from different locations and backgrounds. I can tell you that even though I'm having a lot of work to keep up with the demand, these students are improving their skills by the mere fact that they are practicing speaking in my classes. When I had this realization, all the Facebooks and Instagrams lost their appeal to me. Don't take me wrong, there's a bunch of skilled people sharing content and precious tips on the social medias. I'm all for it because everybody can learn with them. However, to have a chance to think and speak in English is unfortunately rare for most people. Let alone an individual class! My intention here is not only to make you feel like improving your English speaking with tailored lessons with me, I just felt like writing, really. I began teaching for English schools in 2003, I was paid R$5 an hour. Can anyone believe that? I worked my way up through better schools with better everything (except for the people and specially the students, those were always special to me, no matter where I was teaching). At the end of 2015 I started to go solo. After I had been working for more than 10 years for English schools, I decided it was time to go my own way. I'm sure it's not the same as being a Beatle and break up the band, but I do remember thinking about them as I rejoiced in freedom and hope. I didn't know, at that point, that I'd call myself a Nomad Teacher. To be fair, it was a dig at the Nomad Barber. The realization came less than a year later, when I was going to one my classes and had to walk for a few minutes after a quite long bus ride. That was it, even before knowing it. In 2021, five years later, who would have imagined that the concept of Nomad Teacher would change dramatically and take me and my classes to students outside the Southern region in Brazil, and even outside the country, in places like the US and South Africa. It's not that I didn't aim for it, it was just something I thought would happen in a different way. I think it's worth mentioning that I stopped teaching classes in-person in 2018, going fully online by August that year. I'm sure it gave me an edge against the competition when everybody had to switch forcibly to online classes last year. "What we lack in flash, we'll make up for with hardwork and quality." Least but not last, I want to thank everyone who was and has been part of this incredible journey. It's still on and there's a lot more to come.

Paul McCartney in candid interview with Sean Ono Lennon about John Lennon 09/10/2020

If it weren't for John Lennon, I would probably have a very dull life.
And I'm sure I wouldn't be teaching English. Thank you, John, wherever you are.

Paul McCartney in candid interview with Sean Ono Lennon about John Lennon Paul McCartney: "Wait a minute, there's this guy 'John Lennon' who's like a genius, clever, witty, confident, and everything, why would he have insecurities?...
