Have you heard this expression?

🐊 Lágrimas de crocodilo
➡️ Literally: “crocodile tears”

But the real meaning is:

😢 Fake sadness / pretending to be sad
➡️ When someone shows emotions that are not sincere.

Example:

🗣️ Ele pediu desculpas, mas eram lágrimas de crocodilo.
➡️ He apologized, but his sadness was not sincere.

📚 Portuguese vocabulary:

💧 Lágrima = tear
🐊 Crocodilo = crocodile
😢 Triste = sad
