Prof. Márcio Santos da Silva – Federal University of Pelotas – Brazil
He holds a degree from the Federal University of Pelotas - UFPel and a master's degree from the same university in the area of Organic Synthesis (Green Chemistry). He holds a doctorate from the University of São Paulo-USP in the area of Organic (Organometallic Synthesis). He worked at Central Analytical-IQ / USP in the area of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) between 2011-2014. He did a postdoctoral internship at USP in 2013 in the area of Biocatalysis. He was Adjunct Professor II at the Center for Natural and Human Sciences-CCNH of the Federal University of ABC-UFABC during the period between 2014-2018. He is currently a professor of the Industrial Chemistry Course at the Center for Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food Sciences-CCQFA of the Federal University of Pelotas-UFPel and is coordinating the Graduate Program in Chemistry (PPGQ-UFPel). He has experience in the following subjects: Green Chemistry, Organochalcogen Compounds, Organophosphonate Compounds, Organometallic Reagents, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, and Chiral Recognition.

Prof. Marcelo Navarro – Federal University of Pernambuco - Brazil
Graduated in Chemistry (1985-1988) at the University of São Paulo, MSc (1989-1991), and Ph.D. (1991-1994) in Organic Chemistry at the University of São Paulo. Post-doctorate (1994-1996) at the Université Joseph Fourier at Grenoble - France. He is currently a professor (titular) at the Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE (since 1999). He has experience in the areas with an emphasis on Electrosynthesis, mainly in the following areas: electrochemistry, electrocatalysis, organic electrosynthesis, conductor polymers, and electrosynthesis of quantum dots. He is a member of the post-graduation program in Chemistry and Material Science at UFPE, where has supervised 24 MSc and 19 Ph.D. students and 36 (scientific initiation) and 13 (course conclusion monography) undergraduate students, and has published 90 articles so far, 80% of them with his students. He was Vice-Coordinator of the PPG in Chemistry UFPE in 2003-2005, Head of the Department of Fundamental Chemistry-UFPE in the period 2005-2008, and Vice-Director of the Center of Exact and Nature Sciences (CCEN/UFPE) in the period 2008-2012. And Director of the CCEN/UFPE (dec/2013-may/2021). He is a member of the Brazilian Chemical Society - SBQ, International Society of Electrochemistry - ISE, and American Chemical Society - ACS.

Prof. Ethel Antunes Wilhelm – Federal University of Pelotas – Brazil
Graduated in Chemistry (2008), Master's (2009), and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences: Toxicological Biochemistry (2012) from the Federal University of Santa Maria. She has dedicated herself to the pre-clinical study of organic selenium molecules with important antioxidant potential in different pre-clinical models. She is an Adjunct Professor at the Center for Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Food Sciences (CCQFA) at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel). She was deputy coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biochemistry and Bioprospecting (PPGBBio) at UFPel from 2015 to 2020, and head of the Central Animal House at UFPel from 2018 to 2020. In addition, from 2020 to 2022 she was the coordinator of the PPGBBio at UFPel. She is the coordinator of the Research Laboratory in Biochemical Pharmacology (LaFarBio) at CCQFA-UFPel, and a member of the Research Group on Neurobiotechnology. She develops projects that aim to elucidate the involvement of antioxidant enzymes and risk factors in peripheral neuropathy and inflammatory diseases, as well as to evidence the therapeutic potential of organoselenium compounds in these diseases, seeking to improve the quality of life of affected patients. Winner of the "For Women in Science 2018" award granted by L'Oréal in partnership with UNESCO and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Damiano Tanini - Università degli Studi di Firenze - Italy
Damiano Tanini received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry in 2015 from the University of Florence working on the stereoselective synthesis of functionalized cyclic and open-chain sulfur- and selenium-containing compounds through the reactivity of thiosilanes and organoselenosilanes. He carried out part of his doctoral research at the University of Bristol, working with Prof. V. K. Aggarwal. D. Tanini is currently a researcher in Organic Chemistry at the University of Florence. Very recently he received a positive evaluation to become Associate Professor. D. Tanini teaches Theory of Organic Chemistry and Laboratory of Organic Chemistry at the University of Florence. His research interests currently center on organic synthesis, ranging from the development of novel sustainable methodologies towards synthetic intermediates and bioactive molecules to the study of chalcogen-catalysed transformations and molecular chirality. D. Tanini is co-author of more than 60 scientific papers, including review articles and book chapters. He serves as Editorial Board Member and as a referee of several journals in the chemical and biochemical area. He was awarded in 2019 with the Prize for Research in Methodological Aspects of Organic Chemistry from the Italian Chemical Society.

Prof. Alcindo Aparecido dos Santos - University of São Paulo – Brazil
Prof. Alcindo A. Dos Santos is an Associate Professor (M 5.3) of Organic Synthetic Chemistry at the Department of Fundamental Chemistry of the Institute of Chemistry – University of São Paulo. In the last 10 years have been involved in developing studies of the synthetic chemistry of organochalcogens, with special emphasis in the chemistry of Selenium and Tellurium-containing compounds. His interest is focused on the role of these organic compounds in the modulation of biological processes, including the photophysical behavior of Seleno-/Telluro-fluorophores in presence of endogenous reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the modulation of such related phenomena. He published around 75 papers, 3 books/chapters, and 2 patents; supervised 11 Master's and 12 Ph.D. thesis.

Prof. Eric Rivard completed his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Professor Ian Manners. After NSERC sponsored postdoctoral work with Professors Jonas Peters (Caltech) and Philip Power (University of California, Davis), and a brief research stay with Professor Cameron Jones (Monash University), he joined the University of Alberta in 2008, where he is now a Full Professor. He has given > 150 invited lectures worldwide and was recently an Alexander von Humboldt Experienced Researcher Fellow in Germany. He was also a Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Long-term Visitation Fellow in 2015, an RCMS Visiting Professor at Nagoya University in 2016, was the inaugural 2016 Michael Lappert Lecturer (Royal Society of Chemistry, UK), and won the 2018 Strem Chemicals Award for Pure and Applied Inorganic Chemistry (Canadian Society for Chemistry). He is currently on the Editorial Advisory Boards for Chemical Society Reviews, Inorganic Chemistry, and Dalton Transactions. The Rivard group studies fundamental low-coordinate and main group hydride chemistry, catalysis, semiconducting nanomaterial synthesis, and the development of phosphorescent materials and conjugated polymers based on main group elements.

Prof. Stefano Menichetti – University of Florence – Italy
Stefano Menichetti got the degree in Chemistry at the University of Florence in 1987 where started his academic career as a lecturer of organic chemistry in 1990. After a Post Doc period in 1991 at the University of Sheffield under the supervision of Prof. C. J. M. Stirling, in 1999 he became an associate professor of organic chemistry at the University of Messina. Since 2005 he is a Full Professor of organic chemistry at the Department of Chemistry U. Schiff’, University of Florence. His research interests are new stereocontrolled, catalytic, and eco-friendly original synthetic methodologies. A particular emphasis has been always devoted to sulfur and chalcogens mediated stereoselective synthesis. His scientific production consists of more than 160 publications in peer-review international journals (Index H = 30, total citations 2950), and 3 patents. He delivered more than 25 invited lectures and seminars at international meetings and foreign Universities. Professor Menichetti is a Member of the Editorial Board of Bioconjugate Chemistry and Antioxidants. Since 2012 he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Symposium of the Organic Chemistry of Sulfur (ISOCS). In 2020 he received the award for ‘Innovation in Organic Synthesis’ by CINMPIS (Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale di ricerca in Metodologie e Processi Innovativi di Sintesi).

Wuhan University – China
Professor Aiwen Lei is Chang Jiang Scholar and currently served as an associate dean of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) of Wuhan University. He has published more than 450 articles with over 28000 citations. His major research interests are in the methodology of oxidative coupling reactions and mechanistic studies including kinetic and active intermediate by using in situ infrared (IR) and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). In 2019, he received the Yoshida Prize, and 2015 he was granted the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, FRSC and has won many other awards such as the Roche Chinese Young Investigator Award (2015), Eli Lilly Scientific Excellence Award in Chemistry (2011), CAPA (Chinese-American Chemistry & Chemical Biology Professors Association) Distinguished Faculty Award (2009) etc.

Dr. Vijay Pal Singh, did his PhD in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Harkesh B. Singh from the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (India). Further, he undertook as a postdoctoral work with Prof. Lars Engman in the Department of Chemistry-BMC, Uppsala University (Sweden). He spent six years during his stay at Uppsala University. He started his independent career in 2017 as Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry & Centre of Advanced Studies in Chemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh (India). His research group interests focus on the development of novel organoselenium compounds as multifunctional and highly regenerable catalytic antioxidants. Currently, his group is also involved in the development of novel synthetic amino-organoselenium compounds as the inhibitors of ferroptosis, a form of programmed cell death which is iron-dependent non-apoptotic cell death.

Prof. Sangit Kumar - Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal – India
Sangit is a Saharanpur native-born and raised. He attended Chaudhari Charan Singh University, Meerut in 1995 for a Bachelor's degree and then the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) for a Masters's in Chemistry in 1999. Supported by UGC CSIR, he attended IIT Bombay in 2002 for his Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Professor H. B. Singh. He then carried out post-doctoral research with Professor Lars Engman and Professor Michael R. Detty at the Uppsala University, Sweden, and the University of Buffalo, Buffalo, NY, US. In 2007, Sangit has was awarded by prestigious international Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) fellowship. Excited to return to India, Sangit began his independent research career in 2009 at IISER Bhopal as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2013, and to Full Professor in 2018. After starting his independent research carrier, Sangit has published 81 research articles and 2 book chapters. Till now, Sangit has guided 10 Ph.D. students, 1 integrated Ph.D. student, 15 MS students, and 3 postdocs. Currently, he is guiding 8 Ph.D. students, 3 MS students, 1 project student, and 2 post-docs. He is also an active member of the American Chemical Society, a Life Member of the Society for Materials Chemistry, Chemistry, BARC Mumbai, and a Life Member of the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), Bangalore.
