We hosted a Teachers Re-Imagined Roundtable event yesterday with the most passionate, intelligent and dedicated teachers from different walks of life.

It’s up to us to be the change that we want to see. Growing our crafts and building our teacher community.

We spent the day reading our children’s book at the Human Rights Festival with our family. 📚🦠🥳

Having just commemorated National Reading Day donated a few books to the library of a primary school in Tembisa.

Just like we celebrate the birth of new beginnings, today we celebrate the day our baby CORY IN THE UNIVERSE was born.

Last year on this day we gave birth to our little superheroes. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to share our work with you all. The launch of CORY IN THE UNIVERSE was one we dreamt of.

It’s our year of firsts…

1st birthday
1st children’s book
1st year of grace

Thank you to everyone who has bought, read and enjoyed our children’s novel.

This is the first of many more celebrations to come 🥳

We live in a world where we would like our children to see themselves represented in the books they read. Seeing and reading about characters who look, sound, and feel like they do is very important for us as authors who are passionate about philosophy for children.

We have partnered with to share a free “Picture Walk” recourse for you to use when reading CORY IN THE UNIVERSE with your children. Link in bio for the website to download your FREE COPY.

Reading aloud with children is so important because it helps stimulate their imaginations💡.

MEET THE AUTHORS: Join us for a reading and discussion of 'Cory In The Universe' tomorrow on Facebook Live at 12pm. Cory In The Universe is a children's book that is available in all official South African languages and aims to help children aged 9 to 15 gain a better understanding of the coronavirus.

The book was co-authored by former Miss South Africa and Honours in Curriculum graduate Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, and PhD candidate and lecturer Thokozane Dyosini. The pair, who are both qualified teachers, partnered with the Department of Sport, Art and Culture on this project. #2020
