One thing foreigners quickly notice about Brazilians: we LOVE making plans… and sometimes cancelling them at the very last minute 🇧🇷😭

The funniest part is that the person usually means it every single time they say:
“Claro que eu vou!” (“Of course I’ll go!”)

5 days before.
3 days before.
1 day before.
Then 10 minutes before the event:
“Infelizmente não vou conseguir ir.” 💀

And no — Brazilians don’t actually think this is a good habit either. We complain about it all the time 😅
But somehow, we’re also weirdly used to it.

Part of Brazilian culture is being very warm, enthusiastic, and emotionally expressive, so people often say yes in the moment because they genuinely want to go and simply saying "no" directly seems too rude!
But then real life, exhaustion, traffic, social battery, or poor planning enters the chat.

It’s frustrating.
It’s relatable.
It’s very Brazilian.
