Recursos digitais sempre estiveram ao seu alcance. São excelentes como auxiliares à prática pedagógica. Em tempos de transição forçada para aulas à distância, é importante lembrar que a pedagogia ainda é mais importante do que a tecnologia. Se você já usava recursos com seus alunos, continuem. Se não usavam, comecem com o mínimo necessário para a continuidade do aprendizado. Lembre-se que os alunos e suas famílias estão passando por uma situação de muita coisa nova ao mesmo tempo, e quando menos se sentirem pressionados a terem que aprender algo novo, melhor. Não sinta-se na obrigação de usar todos os recursos que estão sendo compartilhado a por aí. Por melhor que seja a intenção, sair usando um monte de coisas novas nesse momento vai atrapalhar do que ajudar, e você vai acabar tendo alunos tentando aprender a usar tecnologia ao invés de manterem o foco no aprendizado essencial. Aulas à distância podem ser muito ef**azes, mas precisam ser conduzidas com muita consciência.

All the digital resources being shared like crazy today have always been available to you. However great they are, bear in mind that pedagogy should drive technology at all times. If you had been making use of such and such tool with your students, that’s awesome. If you didn’t make use of them, just stick to the bare minimum so you can teach them effectively. You may have your students’ best interest at heart, but remember that everyone’s life is pretty much chaotic right now. Don’t add stress to an already stressful situation by asking them to learn how to use a new tool - it doesn’t matter if it looks simple. Distance learning can be very effective, but do it conscientiously and respect the necessary learning curve.

This is just how important teachers’ opinions of students are. If teachers keep repeating that students are weak, or that they cannot learn, this sticks to the mind of students who are yet to develop their own self-awareness and filters to other people’s opinions.

On the other hand, when teachers (and parents) believe in the capacity of their children, this also shapes their view of themselves and leads to the development of people who are willing to take risks, and end up being better learners.
