We are a small, locally-run, registered charity based in Cochabamba, Bolivia that supports children and young adults living in some of the poorest communities in one of the poorest countries in Latin America. We believe that the best way to support these communities and alleviate poverty is to invest in the formal and informal education of the young people in partnership with their community. To augment the existing system, we provide integrated educational assistance to pre-school children and children of school age, and run other projects that benefit their families, their community and the environment in which they live. We run various projects including pre-school education; an English school; a sports school; help with homework; health and nutrition education; creative projects such as music, theatre, dance; science projects; and community improvement projects. We are a very lean and efficient organization with a core team of professional educators and psychologists augmented by a larger team of local and international volunteers, but to run the projects and extend our reach we always need two things – more money and more volunteers. So please donate or partner with us - see our website for details. Alternatively, if you’d like to know what it is like to be a volunteer in Latin America or, more specifically, a volunteer in Bolivia, please check out our volunteer pages on our website.
