🔬 Our students had the opportunity to visit the Microbiology Laboratory of the Biology Program at Universidad Mayor de San Simón (UMSS) for a hands-on learning experience that connected classroom knowledge with a real scientific environmen
As part of our STEAM approach, the visit encouraged students to explore Biology through observation, experimentation, and inquiry. It gave them the opportunity to become familiar with laboratory equipment and procedures, apply scientific concepts in practice, and develop skills such as precision, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and drawing conclusions from evidenc
Beyond the scientific content, experiencing a university laboratory allowed students to broaden their perspective of how science is studied and applied in real-world settings, while encouraging curiosity and an interest in future areas of learning and discover
During the visit, students participated in a practical microbiology session, reinforcing the knowledge developed in the classroom while experiencing firsthand how scientific questions can be explored through evidence, technology, experimentation, and teamwork.
At JOLA, we believe meaningful learning happens when students have the opportunity to question, experiment, connect ideas, and experience knowledge firsthand. This is how we bring our STEAM approach to life, creating experiences that challenge minds and inspire students to look at the world with curiosit
We are very grateful to Universidad Mayor de San Simón and the Biology Program for welcoming our students and providing such a valuable learning experienc
