Centre For Lifelong Learning Centre for Lifelong Learning offers Bachelor, Master, Ph.D., and Micro-credential modules & programme Transforming Teaching, Inspiring Lifelong Learning.

The Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) provides value by focusing attention on the contribution of lifelong learning to the wider student learning experience. We will deliver this proposition by:

Helping engender a passion for lifelong learning among our students through setting up programmes and activities offering modules, as well as embedding a lifelong learning mindset in existing modules;

Develop continuing professional development programmes for alumni of UBD (including non UBD graduates) for skills upgrading or those who are interested in a second career. Initiate continuing education programmes (non-formal learning) for Bruneians and the public who would like to upgrade themselves, both in terms of skills upgrading or for self-enrichment. Establishing lifelong learning opportunities for Bruneians to access higher education qualifications, and for UBD students. Blended learning offers an open and flexible approach towards education for both non-certificate, certificate, and degree programmes education. Researching into next generation learning technology applications for online learning.

🎓 Rampai Pagi: Kisah Graduan Universiti Brunei Darussalam 2026 – Dari Impian ke Realiti

Today, Awang Haji Abdul Rashid bin Awang Haji Damit, Master of Government Graduate, Class of 2026, appeared on Rampai Pagi to share his inspiring journey from being a working student to becoming a graduate.

His journey through the programme was a transformative experience, broadening his perspectives, shaping his way of thinking and challenging him to grow both personally and professionally. Balancing work and studies required commitment, sacrifice and effective time management, including managing financial commitments while pursuing his education.

He also emphasised that learning has no age limit. Education is a lifelong journey of growth, discovery and self-improvement, and there is always an opportunity to learn regardless of age or stage of life.

🎓 Call for Vendors: C3L Graduation Ceremony 2026

The Centre for Lifelong Learning (C3L) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam is officially inviting experienced event management companies to submit quotations for our upcoming Graduation Ceremony (MMOHS)!
We are looking for a dedicated partner to bring this prestigious academic event to life.

📍 Event Details
Event: C3L Graduation Ceremony (MMOHS)
Date: Tuesday, 23 June 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Venue: Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD)
Attendance: Approximately 150 pax

📋 Scope of Work
We require comprehensive event support, including:
Setup: Stage, backdrop, and formal academic ambience/lighting.
Coordination: Full day-of management, VIP protocol, emceeing, and ushering.
Media: Photography, videography, and AV support.
Logistics: Robe management, certificates, and token design/printing.
Planning: Programme scripting, rundown flow, and contingency planning.

📩 Submission Requirements
Interested companies must provide:
* Itemized quotation and company profile.
* Portfolio of past formal or academic ceremonies.

🎓 Transforming Education in Brunei: One Workshop at a Time!

Over the past few weeks, a nationwide workshop series brought together 91 educators from 5 key institutions across Brunei 🇧🇳 to explore how Generative AI and Canva can be used to create more engaging, collaborative, and future-ready teaching practices.

✨ What made this special?

🔹 Pedagogy First:
Participants didn’t just learn how to “use tools” — they experienced Cooperative Problem-Based Learning (CPBL) in action, a teaching strategy that puts students at the center of solving real-world problems, together.

🔹 Generative AI + Canva:
Educators experimented hands-on with ChatGPT and Canva to design assessments, create interactive learning materials, and spark critical thinking in the classroom.

🔹 Cross-Institutional Impact:
Involvement from UBD, Politeknik Brunei, UNISSA, IBTE, and KUPUSB shows a shared national commitment to reimagining education through tech and design.

🧠 Workshop Dates:
🗓️ Cohort 1: 29–30 April
🗓️ Cohort 2: 13–14 May
🗓️ Cohort 3: 20–21 May

Each cohort ended with focused group discussions (FGDs) where educators shared their experiences — from early hesitation to newfound confidence in using AI and Canva in real classrooms.

✅ In collaboration with Skolar Malaysia
