12–18 April 2026 - Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan had the pleasure of hosting Ms Melanie McGown and Ms Casie Richardson from Port Lincoln High School, South Australia, as part of the ASEAN–Australia BRIDGE School Partnership Program 2026.
As Maktab Sains’ first time hosting teachers from an Australian school, the visit marked a meaningful milestone for the school community. Throughout the week, the visiting teachers observed lessons, exchanged teaching ideas with staff, and engaged warmly with students - creating memorable and enriching classroom experiences.
Beyond the classroom, they experienced Brunei’s culture firsthand, including the festive spirit of Eid, local cuisine, cultural landmarks, and school activities, making the exchange even more special.
Maktab Sains is looking forward to keeping this partnership going, with Cikgu Ani Suryani Haji Bahe, Deputy Principal Sixth Form, and Cikgu Sufeatin Haji Surhan, Senior Mistress Academic Lower Secondary, heading to Australia at the end of May for the reciprocal visit.
A big thank you to all our teachers and students who played a part in making the visit such a meaningful one for our guests — we couldn’t have done it without you.
