AITI is seeking construction services from qualified and experienced construction companies registered under the Ministry of Development (category KPME 02) to participate in this Invitation to Tender (ITT).

The objectives of this tender are to enhance accessibility within the Block B14 building by facilitating the safe and efficient movement of people, heavy equipment and emergency response personnel; ensuring inclusive access for persons with disabilities; and improving overall operational efficiency.

The tender also aims to construct an elevator shaft connected to the existing Block B14 building, located at AITI’s premise at Simpang 32-5, Kampung Anggerek Desa, Jalan Berakas, BB3713, and to supply, install, test and commission one (1) unit of elevator in accordance with the specified requirements.

AITI is pleased to invite interested participants to attend Day 2 of the Artificial Intelligence Governance Symposium 2026 on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, at the Auditorium, Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

The symposium will bring together distinguished policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to share insights on the evolving landscape of Generative and Agentic Artificial Intelligence, as well as the governance frameworks, ethical considerations, and responsible practices that guide its development and use.

AITI is seeking a Vendor to develop, organise and manage an end-to-end programme which coaches start-ups in developing their product from Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to a Minimum Marketable Product (MMP) utilising data analytic and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This is to provide essential knowledge, skills, insights and exposure to commercialisation.

The programme will be conducted in two phases – Phase 1 includes eight weeks mentorship programme in Brunei Darussalam, followed by Phase 2 consisting of up to four weeks either local or regional market validation.

The objective is to enable start-ups to successfully transition their digital solutions from MVPs into MMPs that are commercially viable, scalable, and investment-ready.

From 2 to 3 September 2026, the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) and the Authority for Infocommunications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) hosted the ASEAN Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Skilling Framework at The Centrepoint Hotel.

The workshop brought together representatives from government agencies, financial institutions, the ICT industry and academic institutions across ASEAN Member States to discuss the proposed framework, align it with regional digital economy goals and share best practices in AI skills development.

The event was attended by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications) at MTIC, as Brunei Darussalam’s ASEAN Digital Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADGSOM) Leader.

In his welcoming remarks, he highlighted the potential of AI to improve productivity, transform businesses, enhance public services and create new industries. He also emphasised the importance of equipping society, MSMEs and communities with the skills needed to benefit from these developments.

Led by Brunei Darussalam, the ASEAN AI Skilling Framework will serve as a common regional reference for identifying AI competencies across the workforce and industries. Feedback gathered during the workshop will help refine the framework’s competency benchmarks, training guidelines and sector-specific job roles.

MTIC and AITI will continue working closely with ASEAN Member States to finalise the proposed framework ahead of its submission for endorsement by ADGSOM later this year. The initiative also supports the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2030 as the region advances towards connected intelligence.

On 2 September 2026, AITI was invited by the Civil Service Institute (IPA) for their Digital Literacy Programme to facilitate a dedicated session on Personal Data Protection.

The interactive session focused on a Data Inventory Mapping exercise, where participants learnt about mapping flows of data with approriate controls, bringing practical governance insights to the participants.
