Last Friday, we welcomed parents to our Early Years Campus Tour, offering an insight into the pedagogical approach, learning environments, and experiences that shape our youngest learners.

Our Secondary students got hands-on with microscopes to examine living cells under magnification. From preparing slides and adjusting the focus to sketching what they observed, they explored the tiny structures that make up living things.

Moments like these turn classroom learning into real discovery, encouraging students to observe closely, ask questions, and think like scientists.

In Primary English, our literacy lessons focused on persuasive writing and different sentence types.

They practised using questions, statements and commands, and chose the correct punctuation to make their writing engaging and effective.

From drafting to proudly presenting their finished work, our young writers showed how strong literacy skills can make a real difference.

Today in Early Years, learning looked like play, and literacy was at the heart of it.

We began by tracing and writing our letters on the whiteboard, then gathered on the carpet for story time, with a teddy friend joining in to listen. At the table, our little learners picked up their pencils to draw, mark-make and write together, building the skills they need for confident writing.

Sorting and exploring materials with our teachers got us talking, describing and using new words. Some of us found a quiet corner to explore a picture book on our own, turning the pages and telling the story in our own way. Outside, scooping and sifting in the sandpit strengthened our hands and fingers, getting them ready to hold a pencil.

Every letter, story and conversation builds early literacy, one playful moment at a time.

Our Secondary students stepped into the roles of young engineers at the IET Faraday Challenge 2026, joining students from government and private schools across Brunei for a full day of creativity, collaboration and innovation.

Held on 27 September 2026 at the Blackbox and Cupcake Room, Jerudong International School, the challenge gave our students aged 12 to 13 the opportunity to tackle an exciting real-world STEAM challenge while applying their coding and Micro skills.

Working as a team, our students took on key roles as 2 Programmers, 2 Engineers, 1 Project Manager and 1 Accountant, experiencing how different skills and responsibilities come together to turn ideas into innovative solutions.

A valuable opportunity for our students to think like engineers, solve problems and innovate together, building skills for the future.

Miftah An-Nur Islamic International School was honoured to be part of the 36th Brunei Darussalam Teachers’ Day Celebration, joining educators from across the nation in celebrating the meaningful role of teachers.

Our staff were privileged to meet His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and share a meaningful moment with our esteemed patron, Pengiran Anak Ruzaini. These memorable encounters made the celebration even more special for our school community.
