🌿 Touchdown at Sumbiling Eco Village! 🪵✨

Our Primary Leadership Camp has officially begun! Our St. Georgians have arrived in Temburong and have instantly embraced the jungle immersion experience. 🌲🎒

After settling into their cabins and completing a safety briefing, our campers gathered for a motivating opening speech by our Principal, Mr. Janidi Jingan. We are so excited to have our School Chairman, Mr. Anthony Liew, and our Deputy Principal here with us to support our young leaders!

Swipe through to see snapshots of our morning arrival and briefings! 📸

Right now, the students are gearing up for an action-packed afternoon of cultural skills—from prepping bamboo chicken to trying out traditional kampung fishing and shelter building.

Huge thanks to our organizer Teacher Alice Ting (Head of Primary), our dedicated primary support teachers, and the SEV Team for making Day 1 so seamless. Stay tuned to our stories for more updates! 🙌

Today was pure storybook magic at Kindergarten Book Character Dress-Up Day! 📚✨ Our classroom was transformed into a world where favorite book characters stepped right off the pages and into real life. We saw brave adventurers, silly animals, magical princesses, superheroes, curious detectives, talking creatures, and so many creative costumes that brought big smiles to everyone’s faces. From tiny hats and capes to handmade props and colorful outfits, every child proudly shared the character they love most and the stories that inspire them.

Book Character Dress-Up Day reminds us that reading is more than learning words on a page — it helps children dream bigger, build confidence, explore emotions, and develop a lifelong love for books. Through stories, children learn kindness, courage, friendship, curiosity, and the power of imagination. Seeing our kindergarteners proudly become their favorite characters was a beautiful celebration of creativity, literacy, and joyful learning.

A huge thank you to all the families who helped create such thoughtful and imaginative costumes and to our little learners for bringing so much energy, wonder, and personality into the classroom today. The smiles, laughter, and excitement we shared are memories we will treasure for a very long time 💛📖

On 23rd April 2026, five Year 9B students attended the International Girls in ICT Day at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, organized by AITI. The event featured interactive workshops on AI ethics, Google Teachable Machine, and Vibe Coding, highlighting both the potential and the responsible use of technology.

A key highlight was the Solution Development challenge, where the students designed a budget-friendly cooking app for teenagers. They also explored peer presentations on online safety, covering topics like scam prevention and privacy. While the team didn't place in the Top 5, the experience was a significant success, building their confidence, teamwork, and passion for the future of women in tech.

Forty students from Year 10A and Year 9A enjoyed an enriching educational visit to the ARCHIVIA: Design and Creative Industries Graduation Exhibition, held at Chancellor Hall, University of Brunei Darussalam (UBD), on Wednesday, 29 April 2026. The visit was led by Art teacher Cikgu Hajah Afiqah Hanum binti Haji Murni, with support from Teacher Amirah Syasya binti Hj Ahmad.

The visit aimed to broaden students’ understanding of the rapidly evolving design and creative industries, offering them the opportunity to engage directly with innovative and professionally produced work by graduating UBD students. As they toured the exhibition, students explored a wide range of creative disciplines, including graphic design, multimedia, and visual arts, gaining valuable insight into how artistic ideas are developed into purposeful, real-world outcomes.

The experience proved both inspiring and informative, sparking students’ creativity and encouraging them to think more critically about artistic concepts and design processes. It also helped them appreciate how creativity can be applied across different professional contexts, while opening their minds to potential future academic and career pathways within the creative sector.

Overall, the visit was a highly rewarding experience, deepening students’ appreciation of creative expression and innovation. Opportunities such as this play an important role in nurturing students’ confidence, broadening their perspectives, and supporting their aspirations for the future.
