Chu Ching Cheng, Muhammad Danial Suhainin, Dk Nur Hayati Amali Pg Haji Omar Ali, Lim Jia Yuan, Swee Poh Serng, Jerick Yap Raymundo, Ryan Tan Xin Han, Yap Mei Kei, Khoo Hsin Fei, Dr Hazwani Suhaimi, and Pg Dr Emeroylariffion Abas, have published their article titled “A Techno-Economic Assessment of Steam Methane Reforming and Alkaline Water Electrolysis for Hydrogen Production” in the journal Hydrogen.

This publication marks a significant milestone, as it is the first-ever paper emerging from the Chemical Process Design & Analysis (CPD) module to be published by the Chemical & Process Engineering students of the Faculty of Integrated Technologies (FIT). The research is a culmination of the students’ dedicated efforts during their final year, showcasing their capabilities in both technical analysis and academic writing.

The Faculty of Integrated Technologies sent off UBD Shell Eco-marathon Team Belia Tabah to Doha, Qatar yesterday where they will be competing at the Shell Eco-marathon Asia competition

31 final year students from the Chemical and Process Engineering programme presented their final year projects, marking the culmination of their academic journey.

The presentations highlighted their research, technical expertise, and innovative contributions to the field of Chemical and Process Engineering.

A team of 12 students, accompanied by a supervising officer, embarked on a journey to Kuala Lumpur on November 6, 2024, to represent Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) at the 7th UKM Arts Festival 2024. This prestigious event, hosted by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Bangi, Kuala Lumpur, will run from November 6 to November 10, bringing together diverse talents and artistic expressions from across the ASEAN region.

The Faculty of Integrated Technologies was represented by its student, Abu Huzaifah bin Awang Haji Sabli, a 3rd year student in the General Engineering programme, concentrating on Energy Systems.

Today, Year 6 students from Anggerek Desa School visited the Faculty of Integrated Technologies (FIT) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Viewing the incredible Mantuka Aswad, a cutting-edge vehicle that competed in the 2024 Shell Eco-marathon! 🚗💨
The students were thrilled to learn about the design and engineering that went into creating this eco-friendly marvel, inspiring them to think about the future of technology and sustainability.

🏆 Huge congratulations to our students, Valerie Wong and Yusuf Ashraf, who proudly represented Brunei Darussalam and Universiti Brunei Darussalam at the ASEAN Data Science Explorers in Vientiane, Laos! 🌏✨ Their project, NurtureHub— was well received, despite the strong competition from other participants.

Beyond the competition, Valerie and Yusuf explored the rich culture of Vientiane, attended workshops and coaching sessions from SAP, met CEOs from successful data-driven companies and forged connections with ASEAN delegates from across the region.
