Late Post: We finally reached Day 5 of National Book week on Friday! The mystery readers for the day were Mrs. DeRosa-Holder and Pastor Richard Martin. They both engaged the students with the stories they read. Then it was Book Swap time! Students brought gently used books from home to swap out for different books. Everyone left with at least one 'new to them' book to take home and read. The students swapped over 122 books! Then the P4's stopped by Principal Bean's office to share things that they were grateful for. It was a great day and a great way to end the week!

Day 4 was a success! Today's mystery readers were Mr. Kenji Bean (Principal Bean's husband) and Former Principal McMahon. The students loved their stories! Later the students engaged in a Friendsgiving lunch in the auditorium. They each wrote some things that they are thankful for and we created a school-wide gratitude chain. P2 students were responsible for the decor and we thank them for their thoughtfulness. Teachers were not forgotten about as they were treated to some desserts from the Tuck Shop and thank you note from Principal Bean and Deputy Burns. Wonder what we will be up to tomorrow...whatever it is, we are excited about it!
