Today is the 14th day of February, a day that marks the biggest celebration after Christmas; the Valentine day.
Valentine is all about love. Love itself is nothing without Caring, Sacrifice and Commitment.
As demonstrated by the model of this day; the famed catholic cleric VALENTINE who for his selfless deeds was martyred, in the 3rd century by Emperor Claudius II (Claudius the cruel), let us in our own little corners of the world, realize that this day is set apart to reignite in us the Zeal to care, to be committed to our relationships and our work and, to realize that no meaningful venture ever came to fruition without an element of self-sacrifice.
Coincidentally, this year's celebration falls on a day when the Christian world marks the "Ash Wednesday", a day we remind ourselves that we humans are made from dust off the earth and into that dusty must we all go back irrespective of our status, acquisition and class.
Hmmmmmmm!
But there are no coincidences in life (would you agree?).
What does this portend?
Simple!
In our daily dealings henceforth with that other person or persons, at work, family or at play, let us be down-to-earth in loving him or her.
In my opinion, I'll suggest that for this day, we all...
..Give a gift of Dust.
Remind the one that's where it all began and where definitely it's leading. And that like the dust of ash our blossoming lives fade away leaving memories that are gathered in our wake.
Let our lives burn and leave a glow in the minds of those who'll gather that dust.
Happy Valentine friend.
I just sent you my gift of dust.
