Isaiah 29:13
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

A scene happened while Paul the Apostle was preaching the gospel in Macedonia. Once when they were going to the place of prayer, they were met by a female slave who had an evil spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. The Bible says that she followed Paul and the rest of them, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” (Acts 16:17).

When a simple man hears this, they would think that she was actually praising God, inviting people to follow the way to be saved preached by the servants of the Lord, but they would be mistaken. On her lips, she was saying the truth, but inside her is an evil spirit from Satan ; thus she was very far from the Lord. It's written that she kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her (Acts 16:18). Hallelujah.

There are people who honour God on their lips, but their spirits are not recreated in Christ. And so, though they claim to be with the Lord, their hearts still wander in the world. The Lord said in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 13 that, "Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:" They honour God with their lips, but have removed their heart far from Him, and their of God is nothing spiritual ; for it's just commanded by the rules of men.

The Bible says in Romans 12:2 (NIV) "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." If you are truly with the Lord, then follow His pattern, not that of the world. Renew your mind with the knowledge of the Word of God and of Jesus our Lord. He talked about the heart being far from Him. In John 14:15, the Lord said, “If you love me, keep my commands."

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

Some people struggle with the idea of greatness. They resist it because it sounds excessive or inappropriate. So they say, “Don’t talk about me being great; that’s too much.” But God made us great because we’re the seed of Abraham. Our greatness was His idea; we didn’t ask for it.

It wasn’t Abraham who said, “...O, God, make me great.” It was God who said to Abraham, “...I will bless thee, and make thy name great...” (Genesis 12:2). So, as a Christian, when you shrink back from greatness, it’s incongruous with your identity and with God’s plan for your life. Ponder the fact that God reiterated with unmistakable clarity in Genesis 17:6 what He had said in Genesis 12:2, “And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee” (Genesis 17:6).

Observe that it says, “Kings shall come out of thee.” This is consistent with what the Scripture reveals about us in Christ: “…much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). The literal sense of the word “reign” in the verse above is to “king.” It’s the verb of kingship.

Therefore, you could say, “They which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall king in life by Jesus Christ.” And it gets even stronger. The Bible says He has “…made us kings and priests unto God and his Father...” (Revelation 1:6). Our title as kings isn’t futuristic but a present-moment reality. He has made us kings.

What do kings do? They rule and reign. They exercise authority and dominion in their realm. This is why you must never talk like a victim, act helpless, or see yourself as ordinary. You’re great, and you’re a king. The Bible says, “Where the word of a king is, there is power…” (Ecclesiastes 8:4). Kings don’t beg or grovel; they speak with authority. They comport themselves with dignity. Kings manifest royalty.

Every so often, say, “I know who I am; I’m great, and I’m a king. I reign and rule in life.” You’re not trying to hype yourself when you say this but merely affirming what God has done, who He’s made you. It’s your identity; He made you great and made you a king.

Isaiah 29:8
It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

The Bible says that as Jacob journeyed from Beersheba to Harran, one night he dreamt and saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And the Lord Himself was standing above it (Genesis 28:12).

Then the Lord said to him, "...I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of." (Genesis 28:13-15). Hallelujah!

After that the Lord has blessed Jacob mightily, God assured him of His protection. God said, "I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” (Genesis 28:15 NIV). Glory be to God. And notice this, Jacob didn't know that God could walk along with him in that journey, at such a place. Jacob wondered, and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” (Genesis 28:16). Wherever you are, whatever you do, the Lord is with you ; and He assures you of His protection.

In our main verse, it's said, "It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion." (Isaiah 29:8). Hallelujah. This is like Satan threatening you saying that you'll fall. And you reply to him, "In your dream, dude, in your dream !" Glory be to God. Only in their dreams will your enemies see you fall. In their dreams only. But as for you, you arise higher and higher, and higher. Glory be to God.

Genesis 28:1-16 ; Psalms 23:1-6

The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? (Matthew 21:42).

We learnt, in our previous study, one of the clearest truths in Scripture: The Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Church. This is not an idea or a mere concept. In Matthew 21:42, He identified Himself as the stone spoken of in prophecy, the One rejected by the builders yet chosen by God to become the head of the corner.

The Apostle Paul, by the Spirit, also stated this plainly in 1 Corinthians 3:11, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” That settles it. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only true foundation. No other foundation can be laid.

This aligns perfectly with the prophecy of Isaiah: “Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation…” (Isaiah 28:16). God was speaking here about a Person—Christ Jesus, who also quoted the same prophetic words in Psalm 118:22, when He said, “…Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?” (Matthew 21:42).

The rejection of Christ didn’t cancel God’s plan. It fulfilled it. The One they refused became the cornerstone of God’s eternal structure. In Acts chapter 4, the apostles proclaimed this truth boldly and made it unmistakable: “This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner” (Acts 4:11).

This is why the “rock” Jesus spoke of in Matthew 16 is not a revelation, and it’s not Peter. The Scriptures consistently identify Christ as the Rock, the Stone, the Foundation, and the Chief cornerstone. Paul further confirms this in Ephesians 2:20 when he said by the Spirit that we “...are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”

The stability of the Church is Christ, and those who believe in Him are founded on the Rock, immovable and victorious forever! This is the glory of the Gospel. Hallelujah!

Voici le malin apparaît çà et là avec son projet de sang, mais vous l'avez vaincu, dit le Seigneur. Voici Je n'ai point quitté le troupeau, dit le Seigneur, et mes yeux ne les ont point délaissé. Je suis avec vous, dit le Seigneur, et J'étendrai encore ma grâce sur vous. Que la paix soit avec vous.

Isaiah 28:16
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

A lady was almost five minutes late to an early morning meeting, and when she entered the room, her boss opened up with reproaches ; and yet the lady stood calm. When finally she was asked the reason why she was late, she explained that she left an early morning prayer session at her local church. "BIG MISTAKE !" She could have talked about anything else and yet be welcomed, but not the word "Church." Hardly had she finished saying the word "church" when her boss fired up with mockeries, calling all Christians names, emphasizing how lazy they are going to church every Sundays, and half of the audience arose in laughter.

Listen, the Bible says that in the last days there will be mockers, not because there wasn't any, but because they will be commissioned by Satan to frustrate the children of God so much so that at least the weak should fall. But you shall not fall, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. It's said in 2 Peter 3:3 (NIV) that, "Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires." Do not be deceived by how man sees time ; these are the last days when the Shepherd shall come for His flock.

And in order for Satan to diminish or at least frustrate the flock, he set scoffers all over the place with their evil desires. However, the Bible says in Isaiah 28:16 that, "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste." The precious Cornerstone here is the Lord Jesus Christ. And it's said that when you believe in Him, you "... will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away [in sudden panic]." (Isaiah 28:16 AMPC]. Glory be to God.

Qui est sage ? Qu'il suive ses préceptes ; car elles seront pour vous guérison et prospérité, victoire et domination, dit le Seigneur. Que la paix soit avec vous.
