‎Let us talk about sentence order, it is super important and can totally change what you say.

‎So, in English, word order is usually:
‎Subject + Verb + Object
‎e.g., I eat apples.
‎
‎But in French, sometimes the adjective comes after the noun, not before!
‎
‎Let us try:

‎Is it:

‎Bonjour : Good morning / Hello (until evening)

LES GESTES ET COMPORTEMENTS À ADOPTER (OU ÉVITER) EN CULTURE ANGLOPHONE

‎Bonjour les amis !
‎
‎Aujourd’hui, nous allons parler d’un sujet très important mais souvent négligé : les gestes et comportements dans les pays anglophones.
‎
‎Quand on apprend une langue, il ne suffit pas de bien parler, il faut aussi comprendre la culture derrière les mots !
‎
‎Voici quelques règles culturelles à connaître si vous voyagez ou communiquez avec des anglophones :
‎
‎1. Le contact visuel :
‎Dans beaucoup de pays anglophones (comme les États-Unis ou le Canada), regarder quelqu’un dans les yeux montre du respect et de la confiance. Éviter le regard peut être perçu comme un signe de malaise ou de malhonnêteté.
‎
‎2. L’espace personnel :
‎Les anglophones aiment garder une distance physique pendant les conversations. Ne vous approchez pas trop, surtout si vous venez d’être présenté à quelqu’un.
‎
‎3. Dire "Please", "Thank you" et "Excuse me" :
‎Ces expressions sont obligatoires !
‎Oublier de dire "please" peut paraître impoli. Les anglophones utilisent souvent ces formules, même pour des petites choses.
‎
‎4. Les poignées de main :
‎C’est la manière la plus courante de saluer quelqu’un dans un contexte professionnel.
‎Le "hug" (câlin) est réservé aux amis proches, et encore… pas partout !

‎5. Les gestes à éviter :

‎Ce sont souvent les premières phrases qu’on apprend, mais on les utilise mal parfois !

‎Salutations formelles (à utiliser au travail, dans une réunion, ou avec des inconnus) :

‎Good morning: Bonjour (le matin)
‎
‎Hello, how are you? : Bonjour, comment ça va ?
‎
‎Nice to meet you. : Enchanté(e)

‎Salutations informelles (avec des amis, en ligne ou dans un cadre détendu) :

‎Erreur fréquente :

‎1. La Bise – The Kiss-Kiss Greeting
‎In France, people don’t usually hug when greeting. Instead, they kiss on the cheeks called “la bise.”
‎
‎Depending on the region, it could be 2, 3, or even 4 kisses! (But don’t worry, strangers don’t expect it.)
‎
‎2. Handshakes are Formal
‎In professional settings, a light handshake is the norm. Not too strong, not too soft. Make eye contact!
‎
‎3. Don’t Shout or Wave
‎Loud voices or big waves to say “hi” in public may feel friendly to you, but in France it can feel… too much.

‎What’s the FIRST thing you should say?
‎If your answer isn’t “Bonjour”, don’t be surprised if you get a cold look!

‎Even a stranger on the street deserves a polite “Bonjour” if you're going to ask for directions.
