The Film Team is at Mudende Chapel this weekend. Here they are setting up the home-made stands to hold the speakers up above the audience so everyone can hear. Everything has to be portable so they can carry it around the country.

Film team spent the weekend in Rukoyoyo in Eastern Burundi... near where Danny and Anne Johnson live. They showed films Friday, led seminars Saturday morning, and then Danny met them for the Sunday service... They had 2 flat tires on this one trip!!! Thankful they got home safely and that many came to know the Lord.

Jesse preaching Sunday at the Gishingano assembly about 45 min. away. He always come back from these trips excited. The week before he was at Bwiza with Mike Blais from our church back home, but it was dark in there and no one managed a good picture- see that fuzzy one on the bottom right! It was such a blessing to have Mike visit!

It was a privilege to be able to fellowship with the believers and share the word of God at Tenga Emmanuel church which was planted 2.5 years ago. We were able to provide them with 10 Bibles for their neighborhood cell group outreach and a guitar for the choirs. They are in a temporary building and built a larger building around it. Pray that the Lord will provide roofing for the new building.

Replacing the rusted frame trusses under the bed of the film vehicle with new I-beam supports and cross members. We put on new rear shocks and bushings too. It was a three day job but they finished just in time for tomorrow's film trip.

Sad news of the sudden death of Burundi's President H. E. Pierre Nkurunziza of a heart attack. Pray for this nation as we mourn. Burundi has lost a great example of humility and servant leadership.

We praise the Lord that Burundi has been peaceful since the election and also today after the announcement of the provisional results by the National Independent Electoral Commission. Congratulations to the president-elect Evariste Ndayishimiye who won with 68% of the vote. His chief opponent Mr Rwasa got 24%. Please pray for Burundi during this transition time and for all the new leaders that will be taking their place in August. (All the new Parliamentarians and local leaders who were elected as well as the new team of incoming Government Ministers).

Despite getting the new and bigger Film Ministry vehicle, the old one is still used most weekends for church visits and other ministry trip so I am trying to keep it going. We have repaired radiator leaks 3 times. A new radiator is about $450 installed.

Meanwhile 15 miles away across the border in the town of Uvira, DRC at least 30 people have died and 78,000 displaced or homeless from flooding. This includes 21 families from our sister church there.

Thankful the guys made it back safely Sunday night. With all the rain, the steep mountain road washed away just a few hours after they got through.
Lake Tanganyika is so high that it is destroying popular beach spots and homes as well.
