Indian Institute for Performing Arts has stated its operation in the Kingdom of Bahrain in January 2003. This Institution is established for making systematic classes for Indian& Western classical arts, Dance, Instruments, Painting & Theatre arts under one roof fo
r the benefit of all art lovers. Very traditional & systematic classes on all these subjects according to the Indian University syllabus is available in this Institution for all categories of people who want to learn these subjects. Now IIPA has got 12 teachers and more than 600 students spanning across its 5 depts. These students are from all sections & age groups of the society. All teachers are highly motivated to do this professional job with absolute commitment and they all hold Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in their concerned subjects from reputed Universities. All the subjects have been structured as a course of 2 years each with 3 levels i.e.: Preliminary, Intermediate & Advanced. A total of six years study makes one eligible to get a full diploma certificate. In each of these 3 levels certificates are being distributed. IIPA also arrange events where its students are brought on stage and made to perform before an encouraging crowd consisted of their parents, well wishes & invited guests. The subjects currently offered are, Hindustani Vocal Music, Carnatic Vocal Music, Dances, Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Mohiniyattam, Kutchipudi, Classic Cinematic, Fusion Dance, Violin, Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Tabla, Mridangam, Sketching &Painting etc. This Institution at times brings eminent artists to do concerts & workshops also in Bahrain for the benefit of its students as well as the whole society. Moreover we have tailor- made courses to suit to the convenience of each aspiring individual. Situated in a calm & quiet environmentally healthy location, this Institution is committed to propagate the real constructive values of music & arts for all the students cutting across all barriers. Currently students belonging to 6 nationalities are studying here. With the 9th year of its existence IIPA has made a brand value of its own and is known all over Bahrain as a place for quality art education.
