Congratulations to Fatima Kamal (Gr. 2E) and Joud Omar (Gr. 3M) for their achievements in gymnastics. These two well-balanced and obviously flexible students were awarded gold (Joud) and silver (Fatima) medals for their floor routines in a gymnastic competition in which they participated. Both girls shared that initially doing a 3-second handstand was very challenging for them; however, they, now and after many hours of practice, are able to do this in a heartbeat. We are incredibly proud of Abdul Rahman AlObaidli from Grade 10 for his outstanding achievements in various fields. Abdul Rahman has not only earned a medal in a basketball tournament organized by ALBA but has also excelled in track, earning another well-deserved medal. Furthermore, his exceptional abilities were recognized in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, where he received two prestigious awards for Best Delegate and Best Chairperson. Today is International Diabetes Day, and we are reminded to care for our health and support those with diabetes. Two of our very brave students spoke with our students from Gr. 2 - 5 about their journey with diabetes. Samia AlShater (Gr. 4S) and Yasmeen AlDoseri (Gr. 5E) explained how they manage their condition and clarified a couple of misconceptions about diabetes that our students had.. These two girls inspired us with their strength in overcoming an initial adversity. They spoke with confidence and with a sound knowledge base about their conditions. We are so proud of you girls.
