What a day on the pitch! Our latest event brought together the energy of the foreign students from Preparatory course and the experience of the Bachelor students for an epic 11-a-side showdown. 🏃‍♂️💨

It was a hard-fought battle filled with great goals, some "creative" defending, and a lot of laughs. While the Prep students showed incredible spirit and gave it their all, the Bachelor students took the victory this time! 🏆 Victory or defeat, the best part was seeing everyone from different departments and countries coming together.

Martenitsa Workshop 2026 brought together over 70 foreign students from Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Greece, Gabon, Iran, Congo, Cameroon, Kuwait, Nigeria, Syria, and Lebanon. The event was organized by International Cooperation and Foreign Students Dpt. together with the Foreign students' club, which prepared a special presentation about the Bulgarian traditions related to martenitsa. The participants are foreign students in various specialties of the university, as well as students in preparatory language courses, as well as Erasmus students from French and Turkish universities. The students not only learned about the symbolism of this custom, but also had the opportunity to make handmade martenitsa, the topic this year being "Pizho and Penda". The made martenitsa are exhibited in the Foreign Students Centre - NUK lobby.
