We often set big intentions—communicate better, manage stress, break a habit—only to find ourselves slipping back into familiar patterns. In my new post, I unpack why returning to what we already know is so natural, and how small, compassionate shifts can make lasting change possible. Read more: https://wix.to/DcTZZB0

There are moments in life when we genuinely want things to be different. We decide to communicate more openly, take better care of ourselves, respond more calmly under pressure, or finally change a habit that no longer serves us. For a while, our intentions feel clear and our motivation seems strong....

One of the things I find most interesting about memory is the confidence it gives us. Most of us have experienced the moment when we are convinced an event happened in a particular way, only to discover that someone else remembers it differently. Sometimes an old photograph, a diary entry, or even a passing comment is enough to make us question something we thought had been settled for years.
That doesn't necessarily mean one person is right and the other is wrong. It reflects something much more interesting. Memory isn't simply a record of experience waiting to be replayed. Research increasingly suggests that remembering is an active process in which the brain reconstructs past events using fragments of stored information together with our current knowledge, emotions, and perspective.
While reading the literature on memory reconstruction, I found myself returning to a broader question. If our conscious experience influences the way memories are recalled, and those memories gradually become part of how we understand ourselves, where should we draw the line between memory and consciousness? At what point does remembering become part of the ongoing process of shaping identity?
Those questions became the starting point for my latest article in Bright Mind Perspectives. Rather than trying to answer them, I looked at what current research tells us, where the evidence is strong, and which questions remain open.
If this is a subject that interests you, you'll find the article here:. Read the full post: https://wix.to/O6s6Jc2

What if memory is more than a record of the past—and consciousness more than the awareness of the present?Memory and consciousness are often discussed as separate subjects. One concerns our ability to remember past experiences, while the other refers to our awareness of ourselves and the world aro...

Why does lasting change remain so difficult, even when we know exactly what to do?

It’s a question that has stayed with me for years.

Throughout my work, I met people who genuinely wanted to change. They had the knowledge, the motivation, and the intention. Yet lasting transformation often remained just out of reach.

That question became the starting point for a much longer journey.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll begin sharing the ideas and principles that gradually evolved into The Bright Mind Method™.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

What do you think makes lasting change so difficult?

There is something deeply paradoxical about the way human beings relate to time.We speak of moving on from the past, carrying the past, escaping the past, and, perhaps most commonly, reliving the past. These expressions have become so familiar that we rarely stop to question them. Yet if we do, an i...
