I've been teaching English since 2003, and I have over 20 years of consistent teaching experience in public schools, private academies, and colleges.
I started tutoring in my university's writing lab and just stuck with it. I started teaching ESL groups while I was an exchange student. Since then, I have taught general English and exam preparation to thousands of students, just like you.
I'm currently working independently with local and online students. In most lessons, I prefer a communicative approach and focus on speaking and grammar practice. I think of myself as a friend and coach, here to guide, remind, and motivate you to study.
I use a natural and direct approach, which means I expect you to produce specific grammar and vocabulary presented during the lesson (or previous lessons). I prefer to follow a textbook course but use numerous resources to spice it up. I typically assign any lengthy reading and writing for homework. I have access to an endless supply of materials.
