About CORPluS

CORPluS seeks to advance the work and goals established by Peace Corps Bulgaria and to help fill the void its departure will leave. Building on the 20 plus years of projects, resources, relationships and knowledge, CORPluS will maintain Peace Corps Bulgaria’s values and uphold its mission aimed at:

1. Developing professional skills of individuals, organizations and communities throughout Bulgaria

CORPluS provides people, knowledge, connections and relationships – Bulgarians poised to do more good things in Bulgaria. Beyond the numerous programs and resources developed by Peace Corps Bulgaria over the years, the CORPluS team offers strong working relationships with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science, the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism and the Ministry of Environment and Water; the National Association of Municipalities; a vast network of partner organizations, schools and communities throughout the country; strong and solid experience in project management, training design, program facilitation and event planning and implementation. CORPluS believes that Bulgaria’s future lies in the untapped potential of individuals, both young and old. Greater opportunities open up through innovative ideas and educational and development programs designed to encourage people to dream, achieve and inspire. The purpose of CORPluS is to respond to the continued needs in Bulgarian communities: to support the efforts of Bulgarian teachers by introducing innovative practices within the classroom and through extracurricular activities; to empower young people by providing opportunities for personal development through camps and workshops; and to help build the administrative and economic capacity of Bulgarian communities through the exchange of ideas, resources, skilled personnel, professional training programs and civil initiatives. Keeping a strong eye on the guiding principles that led to the creation of many Peace Corps projects, the initial focus in the transition will be to keep the current momentum and provide a strong foundation for sustainability of a few key projects. Long term, the focus will expand to include the implementation of additional programs and projects, aligned with the CORPluS mission. The main projects on which CORPLUS Foundation works are:
1. Bulgarian National English Spelling Bee Competition
2. Bulgarian Creative Writing Competition
3. Professional development training courses for teachers of English

🐝🇺🇸🇧🇬 Getting ready for a new school year!

A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of meeting the new Fulbright Bulgaria English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) who have joined schools across Bulgaria for the 2026–2027 academic year.

We are especially happy that some of them have expressed an interest in volunteering with the Bulgarian National English Spelling Bee and the Bulgarian Creative Writing Competition in English 🐝🖊️

We look forward to working together and to having them bring their energy, enthusiasm, and love of English to our competitions and the students taking part in them!

С наближаването на септември и подготовката за новата учебна година, СмарТест стартират нова поредица от безплатни практически уебинари. Те ще бъдат посветени на реални училищни процеси, добри практики и начини, по които СмарТест може да подпомага работата на училищните екипи.

Стартираме нова поредица от практически уебинари на СмарТест. 💙

Първата тема е посветена на организацията на държавен изпит за професионална квалификация чрез тест — процес, който изисква яснота, добра подготовка и проследимост.

Ели и Мика ще покажат как СмарТест може да подпомогне училищните екипи при подготовката на въпроси, генерирането на изпитен вариант.

Миналата сряда за пореден път нашата общност доказа, че Spelling Bee е много повече от състезание. На традиционния ни благотворителен Pub Quiz се събраха 14 отбора от приятели, родители, бивши участници и съмишленици, обединени от една кауза – да помогнем на повече деца да преживеят магията на езиковия летен лагер за националните финалисти в Bulgarian National English Spelling Bee.

Благодарим на всеки, който беше с нас! Благодарим за ентусиазма, смеха, приятелските закачки, впечатляващите знания и готовността да подкрепите следващото поколение „пчелички“. Вечерта беше изпълнена с много настроение и оспорвана надпревара, в която всеки отбор показа завидна ерудиция и спортен дух.

Най-голямата победа обаче е общата ни. Благодарение на таксите за участие и средствата от томболата събрахме 1425 евро! Това означава, че пет национални финалисти ще могат да участват в езиковия летен лагер и да създадат спомени, приятелства и умения, които ще останат с тях за цял живот.
От сърце благодарим на всички участници, дарители и приятели на Spelling Bee.

📣 Кандидатствайте за безплатно обучение за учители по гражданско образование!

👉 Организираме пето поредно обучение на тема „Актуални предизвикателства в гражданското образование – деполяризация и диалог“.

✔️ Участието е безплатно.
✔️ Фондация „Софийска платформа“ поема разходите за път и настаняване.
✔️ Обучението е вписано в регистъра на МОН и носи 2 кредита на завършилите.

💡 Програмата включва посещение на бившия лагер „Белене“, както и методи за справяне с емоции в клас и с дезинформация.

As we celebrate the only home we have — planet Earth — we are reminded of the importance of climate and environmental action to preserve it for future generations.

Today we are launching the 4th season of our campaign — and this year, it’s all about nature restoration.

Nature gives us everything: clean air, fresh water, food, cooler cities, and protection from floods and storms.

But right now, it needs our help. Across Europe, 80% of habitats are in poor condition, and around the world, up to one million species are at risk.

The good news? We can all be part of the solution.

Whether it’s planting pollinator-friendly flowers, making your garden more sustainable, or simply making more nature-friendly choices in your daily life, small actions really do add up.
