One of the biggest milestones in moving from a beginner to an intermediate Bulgarian speaker is mastering short-form pronoun word order.

In this new lesson extract, we look at the strict structural logic behind combining dative pronouns (му, ѝ, им, ми) with everyday verbs like давам (to give) and купувам (to buy).

English speakers often try to translate the word order directly, which breaks the natural melody of the language. We show you how to train your brain to naturally place the pronoun exactly where a native speaker expects to hear it.
