Some words just dance on the page. 🩰

And Salina, our October Font of the Month, proves that. Designer Ivelina Martinova found inspiration in imagination itself - the way words tell stories and carry emotions. Together with Plamen Motev and Vika Usmanova, they crafted a typeface that blends contemporary sophistication with timeless elegance.

Salina comes in 32 static styles (plus variable fonts), including a full swash set, with ligatures, stylistic alternates, small caps and extensive multilingual support. Everything designers need to give words a shape.

There are no boundaries for your words! ✉️

🧡 The updated Gabriel Sans now supports over 130 languages! The font comes with Cyrillic - new letters with no Latin equivalents (such as ф, ц and ъ) were added and Open Type localization is available, so the font can swap in the right regional variant automatically based on the language tag.

🌍 The Latin glyph set was also expanded - while previously it covered Western European languages and Turkish, Gabriel Sans now can speak languages from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Baltics.

To be fair, a lot more than in 2011. At least when it comes to Gabriel Sans. 🧡 The typeface got a fresh new look to catch up with the contemporary design needs and is now ready to take its rightful place in your projects.

Pixels as you’ve never seen them. 👾

The digital narrative trend brings pixels to the forefront to evoke a sense of nostalgia: lo-fi, grid-based, screen-native visuals that turn nerdy, data-heavy content into something playful and human.

💚 Spotify's Spreadbeats, a music video coded entirely inside Excel, and Landor's branding for science company Syensqo both set a great example of structured grids meeting expressive type.
🟣 We couldn't resist either. Our font Pixer and the custom typeface Alpha Lyrae we crafted for Vega Protocol further prove that nerdy never meant cold. It just needed the right typeface.

Do you believe what goes around comes around? Well, Νόρά is the living proof. 💫

Some may know her as a Type Designer, although her professional path took a turn that led her to the project management field. Now she finally found a way to combine these two worlds as a PM at Fontfabric, making sure everything works smoothly. 👩🏻‍💻

She moves between tasks with the same grace and determination she'd use to climb a mountain or literally build a house. It’s that multidimensional personality we can’t get enough of - whatever the topic, there’s never a dull moment with Nora. She keeps things interesting, and every so often, playfully turns into a thorn in our side. Fitting, since her cosy villa sits in the village of Tran, which literally translates to thorn. We better get back to our tasks now…

Nora, thank you for keeping us on the same page while making us eager to flip through the whole book.

The wait is over - the updated version of Gabriel Sans is here! 🧡

Originally released in 2011, this sans-serif blends structured geometric forms with a softer personality. More than a decade after its original release, the team got back to work to give the font the update it needed. The new version comes with:
