The grandmaster demonstrating one and two finger sweeps!

This is live with The Wooten brothers in Cortale, Italy. We had a conversation at dinner about sweeping with one finger only. Then 2, 3 and so on...

Regi has developed a very unique style for the sweeping technique unlike anyone I have ever seen. His method allows him to outline and sweep any chords and all kinds of other shapes on the guitar.

Enjoy this improvised clip. I was inspired from at in recently.

When he was talking about using different hands as different drums to get his rhythms for his bass lines and harmonies this is what I was thinking about.

I didn't play the right hand rhythm maybe exactly as he mentioned in the workshop but you can see this is the idea. You can choose whatever rhythms you want for either hand.

If you play with two hands on the fretboard with a bass or other stringed instruments it's easier to separate those rhythms like a pianist. It's also super fun!

Luckily I've been taking lessons with for so long that these things are easy for me now. Much ❣️

And then a little slapping for fun haha. Enjoy
