ADMISSION OF FOREIGN CITIZENS OF THE EU, EEA AND SWISS CONFEDERATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE - SOFIA, FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023
1. Admission of EU and EEA nationals and the Swiss Confederation:
1.1. Deadline for receipt of documents: 20.07.2022 to 14.09.2022

1.2. Entrance Exams in English, Biology and Chemistry: 17.09.2022 / Saturday /

1.3. Announcement of the results of the Entrance Exams: 20.09.2022
Note: If one of the components of the Entrance exam is not passed, the exam is considered failed.

The results of the written works are final and not subject to re-evaluation!

1.4. Ranking – 21.09.2022
The ranking of the candidates is done on the basis of the summed grades in biology and chemistry from the diploma for completed secondary education and the grades from the three components of the exam. Maximum score: 30.00.

NOTE: All EU and EEA citizens shall present their Diploma for completed secondary education and issued by the Regional Department of Education at Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Bulgaria, Certificate for recognized completed secondary education with grades equivalent to the grades under Article 9, para. 1 of Ordinance № 11/01.09.2016 for evaluation of the learning outcomes of students.

STUDENTS FROM NON EU / EEA COUNTRIES?
All documents of applicants from countries outside the European Community must be submitted in June in order to obtain an entry visa for the Republic of Bulgaria.
Acceptance of documents:from 20.06.2022 to 20.07.2022
Entrance exam in English, Biology and Chemistry: 08.10.2022 / Saturday /
Announcement of the results of the entrance exam: 10.10.2022
Note: All candidates who have successfully passed the entrance exams in English, Biology and Chemistry in English are accepted.
Start date of the new academic year (in English) for students in the Specialties of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy – 24.10.2022.
Submission of documents for transfer of foreign students from medical universities in the country and abroad – until 20.08.2022 in accordance with item 4 of Section IX of the Regulations for preparation and conduct of the academic year – “RULES for transfer of foreign students – citizens of the EU and the EEA and from third countries at the Medical University – Sofia from other Higher Medical Schools in the Republic of Bulgaria or abroad.”
Note: Entrance exams will be held in face-to-face or online distance forms depending on the epidemic situation in the country and the orders of the Ministry of Health and officials authorities.
If the candidate student is not accepted for any reason, we undertake to enroll him in the preparatory year of the university after which the training begins directly.
The training in the preparatory course of the University is conducted remotely, until a new order of the Rector.

Note: Sono ammessi tutti i candidati che hanno superato con successo gli esami di ammissione in lingua inglese, biologia e chimica in lingua inglese.
Data di inizio del nuovo anno accademico (in inglese) per gli studenti delle Specialità di Medicina, Odontoiatria e Farmacia – 24.10.2022.
Presentazione dei documenti per il trasferimento di studenti stranieri dalle università di medicina nel Paese e all'estero – until 20.08.2022 ai sensi del punto 4 della Sezione IX del Regolamento per la preparazione e lo svolgimento dell'anno accademico – “NORME per il trasferimento degli studenti stranieri – cittadini UE e SEE e da paesi terzi presso l'Università di Medicina – Sofia da altre Scuole Medie Superiori nella Repubblica di Bulgaria o all'estero”.
Nota: gli esami di ammissione si terranno in moduli faccia a faccia o online a distanza a seconda della situazione epidemica nel paese e degli ordini del Ministero della Salute e delle autorità ufficiali.
Se per qualsiasi motivo lo studente candidato non viene accettato, ci impegniamo ad iscriverlo all'anno propedeutico dell'università dopo il quale inizia direttamente la formazione.

AMMISSIONE DI CITTADINI STRANIERI CE
I cittadini stranieri sono ammessi all'Università di Medicina – Sofia (MU-Sofia) in conformità con la legge sull'istruzione superiore (HEA) e l'ordinanza sui requisiti statali per l'ammissione degli studenti alle scuole superiori della Repubblica di Bulgaria se hanno completato l'istruzione secondaria dando loro il diritto di iscriversi agli istituti di istruzione superiore del paese in cui hanno completato la loro istruzione secondaria e hanno un voto di almeno 4 (Buono) in Biologia e Chimica nel loro diploma di istruzione secondaria.
ADMISSION OF FOREIGN CITIZENS
Foreign citizens are admitted at the Medical University – Sofia (MU-Sofia) in accordance with the Higher Education Act (HEA) and the Ordinance on the State Requirements for Admission of Students at Higher Schools of the Republic of Bulgaria if they have completed secondary education giving them the right to apply to higher education institutions of the country where they have completed their secondary education and have a grade of at least 4 (Good) in Biology and Chemistry in their secondary education diploma.
