❗ All necessary technical equipment will be provided for the production of the short film, including camera, lens, lighting and audio ❗

Schedule: 2x Weekly, 25 lectures x 2 hours each (3 months)
Price: 400BGN/Month for 3 Months

📣 Asparuh Frangov is a film director and visual artist based in Sofia 🇧🇬 and Houston, Texas 🇺🇸 . His first no-budget short film "The Address" (2016) was selected as part of the 14th In The Palace International Short Film Festival (2016/17, an Oscar-qualifying festival) and screened in four cities across Bulgaria, as well as in the US as part of Bedford Falls Film Festival (2020). His second film, "A Shadow Confined" - a loose adaptation of Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment" - was selected for and won accolades in three festivals worldwide in 2020: CineLibri (Sofia, Bulgaria - Special Jury Prize), Neo-South IFF (Johor Bahru, Malaysia - Best Short Film, Best Direction, Best Cinematography), and MICEA'20 (San Juan, Puerto Rico - Special Jury Prize).
His third short film, Schroedinger's Man (2024) in currently in pre-production and has won financing from the Bulgarian National Film Center.
Asparuh was also part of the Youth Jury of the 19th Sofia International Film Festival (SIFF) and interned at the Bulgarian National Film Archive. He has worked on many other films and productions as a crew member - most recently as the director of the BTS documentary of the feature film Block (2023) (now in cinemas), as well as in the editing of the film, in the art department for The Wheels of Heaven (2023, in postproduction) and Mirror Touch (2022, Short) and as the production designer for Mihaela Fileva's music video - "Obseben"

Фокус на класа сценарий и режисура.
Запазване на място с предварително записване.
Максимален брой участници - 10.

Съдържание на курса:
1-ва Част - Основите на киното и неговият език - произхода на класическото и съвременното кино.
2-ра Част - Различните роли в киното, писането на сценарий и неговото значение.
3-та Част - Създаване на филм от А до Я и снимане на собствен филм.

Класът е тримесечен, два пъти седмично (сряда и събота) по 2 часа.
Начало:15-ти февруари 2023 г.

Part 1 - The fundamentals and language of cinema - the origins of classic and contemporary cinema.
Part 2 - The different roles in cinema. Script writing and its significance.
Part 3 - Creating a film from A to Z and how to make your own short film.

Даниела Ноуто е сценарист и режисьор с 10 годишен кинематографичен опит в България и ЮАР.
Бакалавър, с отличие по филм и телевизия от престижния университет WITS. в Йоханесбург.
Работила по късометражни, пълнометражни, документални филми, реклами и музикални клипове.
С проекти участвали във фестивала IDFA (Амстердам 2017г.), с филма "Kharon" и филм за подпомагане на благотворителни каузи "Карин дом" 2021г.
