From October 14 to 18, 2024, Sofia, Bulgaria hosted the "Train the Trainers" event as part of the Green MiCred Pathways project, aimed at upskilling and reskilling low-skilled adults for lifelong learning. This initiative, funded by the European Union under the ERASMUS-EDU-2022-PI-FORWARD call, brought together educators, trainers, and mobility advisors from various backgrounds to enhance their skills and share best practices.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome and an introduction to the GreenMiCred project, highlighting its aims, goals, and the partnership consortium involved. Participants engaged in interactive presentations and workshops focused on the foundations of andragogy, principles of adult learning, and practical activities designed to improve their training techniques.
Throughout the five-day workshop, attendees had the opportunity to network, share experiences, and discuss key issues related to adult education and mobility processes. A visit to the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy provided participants with real-world insights on emerging green skills and into effective training environments.
The Green MiCred Pathways project continues to make strides in promoting lifelong learning and empowering low-skilled adults, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to thrive in an ever-evolving job market.
