Position Summary
RSM International is looking for a Curriculum Associate who is enthusiastic about mathematical education, to join our international team. The Curriculum Associate works to improve the existing and develop the new curricula of RSM, along with other products developed by the Curriculum and Training departments. The position works in close connection with the Curriculum department at RSM HQ in Boston, Massachusetts.
Our ideal candidate shares the RSM belief and mission to help all children build a solid foundation in math and logical reasoning, self-confidence, and a love of learning that will last throughout their lives.
Essential Responsibilities
• Develop and improve new and existing curricula of RSM
• Support the RSM Curriculum department in ongoing projects including, but not limited to the development of new products for various users – workbooks, math quests, etc.
• Teach classes online to achieve deeper understanding of the product of RSM.
• Observe classes to understand the practical application of RSM curricula.
• Support the New Product Development Department, Competitions Department and Training Department in topics related to Curriculum
Required qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree; either high school degree or Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field with demonstrated advanced knowledge of Mathematics
• Relevant work experience: Teaching experience for at least 1 year; experience with developing curricula is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Technical skills
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point): Proficient
• Google Drive

The teachers will teach 4-12 grade classes in the RSM Online Classroom. There are opportunities for career development in Training, Curriculum Design and New Product Development within RSM.

• Teach Mathematics in middle and high school classes;
• Prepare lessons; work closely with a mentor teacher to develop, plan and execute lessons that reflect the RSM curriculum and teaching methods;
• Discuss the individual progress of students and academic questions;
• Promote and evaluate key critical reasoning skills as well as social and emotional growth;
• Communicate with parents by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance, report all elements of student development through email;
• Attend training sessions organized by RSM.
Required qualifications:
• Either high school degree or Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related field with demonstrated advanced knowledge of Mathematics
• Excellent computer skills;
• Highly organized and motivated personality; ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• Professional phone/ online presentation and quick learning skills; desire for professional development;
• Work experience in education settings and/or curriculum development is a great plus.
