What a week! 🙌🏼 We are more than happy to be a part of the SMILES project and to work with such inspiring people! Last week we had the opportunity to co-lead a training week for school teachers in Granada, Spain 🇪🇦 hosted by our friend and partner Javier Morales from GrowthCoop. 🗣 All teachers prepared and actively participated in training activities connected to emotional intelligence and mental health 🫂 👉🏻 Supported by the GrowthCoop team, Martyna introduced the concept of Allyship at School which will help teachers to prevent and counteract mental health issues together with students, parents and school staff. 👩🏼‍🏫 Co za tydzień! 🙌🏼 Bardzo się cieszymy, że możemy być częścią projektu SMILES i pracować z tak inspirującymi ludźmi! W zeszłym tygodniu mieliśmy okazję współprowadzić tydzień szkoleniowy dla nauczycieli w Granadzie w Hiszpanii 🇪🇦 którego gospodarzem był nasz przyjaciel i partner Javier Morales z organizacji GrowthCoop. Wszyscy nauczyciele przygotowali się i aktywnie uczestniczyli w zajęciach szkoleniowych związanych z inteligencją emocjonalną i zdrowiem psychicznym 🫂 👉🏻 Martyna, wspierana przez zespół GrowthCoop, przedstawiła koncepcję tworzenia aliansu w szkołach, która pomoże nauczycielom zapobiegać i przeciwdziałać zaburzeniom zdrowia psychicznego wraz z uczniami, rodzicami i personelem szkoły. 👩🏼‍🏫

This week teachers from Spain, Poland, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic attended the SMILES training for teachers in beautiful Granada in Spain. It was three days of brainstorming, discussions and new ideas.

What did we do?

✨ We have trained to foster the development of key socio-emotional skills through practical activities.

✨ We were introduced to the detailed guidelines for creating Allyship at schools with the involvement of teachers, students and parents.

✨ We identified challenges in our schools and communities and created a work plan for their implementation.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for the successful implementation of the Allyship and apply everything learned during this week in our schools.

🗣 Allyship at schools means creating an individual action plan for implementing a where all students, teachers and parents feel valued, respected and included. It encourages all those 3 groups to actively support marginalized groups on a day to day basis.

✨ What is our next step in the SMILES project?

👨‍🏫 The last and most important phase of the project is to develop a methodology based on the concept of Allyship at schools.
means each other on all levels in schools 👉 individual, interpersonal and structural 👈
🗣 This kind of will be implemented in schools by students, teachers and parents, who will create circles of Allyship to protect and those who are struggling with 🫂
