✨On 26 and 27 May 2026, the participants selected for the upcoming CyberMe Female Cybersecurity Youth Camp successfully completed the first three modules of the CyberMe training programme through a series of engaging online sessions.
🛡️During the trainings, participants took their first steps into the world of cybersecurity, exploring essential concepts related to online safety, cyber threats, digital resilience, and responsible digital behaviour.
💬 The sessions combined learning, discussion, and interaction, allowing participants to exchange ideas, ask questions, and develop a deeper understanding of how cybersecurity impacts our daily lives.
🔐Through collaborative activities and practical examples, the young women gained valuable knowledge that will support them during the upcoming international camp experience.
👩💻These online trainings mark the beginning of an exciting journey within CyberMe – Unleashing the Cyber Potential of Young Women, a project dedicated to empowering young women with the skills, confidence, and inspiration needed to explore opportunities in cybersecurity and the wider digital sector.
🌍Next stop: Valletta, Malta! There, 24 young women from across Europe will come together for five days of hands-on workshops, team challenges, real-world cybersecurity experiences, and intercultural exchange.
🎉 Congratulations to all participants for successfully completing the first three modules! We look forward to following their progress and sharing more highlights from their CyberMe journey.

🚀 Know a girl who loves science, innovation, and big challenges?
The Girls Go STEM Student Challenge 2026 is now open! 🌍✨
A unique opportunity for girls 14–19 to turn ideas into real space solutions. No space experience needed.
The Girls Go STEM Student Challenge 2026 is open — and this year, we are taking it to space. 🚀
How can we keep Earth's orbit safe and sustainable as space becomes more crowded? That's the challenge we're putting to girls aged 14–19 across Europe this year.
Teams of 2 to 4 girls are invited to choose a space component and redesign it so that, if it fails, it creates as little debris as possible. They develop their concept, create a design, and present their solution in a short 1-minute video. No space expertise needed, our free online course "Space Debris: From Orbital Chaos to Sustainable Space" gives them everything to get started.
Selected teams are invited to the annual event in Autumn 2026, where they pitch on stage, take part in hands-on workshops and mentoring sessions, and connect with students, experts and innovators from across Europe.
As an EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology Community initiative, Girls Go STEM has been empowering girls across Europe with STEM skills since 2020. This is their chance to take on a real-world challenge and help shape the future of space.
📅 Deadline: 27 July 2026 · 13:00 CET

🌟 Meet Our Next 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗠𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹: Desislava Nikolaeva from Bulgaria🌟
We are proud to introduce Desislava Nikolaeva, a cybersecurity professional, working as a Security Officer at EGT Digital, and an active contributor to the European cybersecurity community.
Desislava builds bridges between engineering and security, with expertise in DevSecOps, Secure SDLC, product security, risk management, and cybersecurity governance. Her work focuses on embedding security into every stage of software development -making security a core part of how systems are built, not an afterthought.
💡 Her journey began early in IT, from technical support and infrastructure to software development and ultimately cybersecurity. This diverse path gave her a deep understanding of how systems work and where security truly matters.
👩💻 Today, she actively contributes to the cybersecurity ecosystem, including collaboration with Women4Cyber Bulgaria, supporting initiatives that promote women in cybersecurity, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth.
✨ One of her key achievements is building a Security Champions program, empowering developers to become security advocates within their teams. This approach strengthened security culture, reduced vulnerabilities, and helped integrate security directly into engineering workflows.
💬 Her message to young professionals:
Cybersecurity is not a straight path. There are many ways to enter the field. What matters most is starting, learning continuously, and building confidence step by step.
🌍 Desislava’s story shows the strength of Bulgarian talent in cybersecurity, and how diverse career paths and perspectives help build stronger, more resilient digital systems across Europe.
