🎉 FUTURE-STEM-HUB Final Conference – Exploring the AI-Driven Future 🤖🌍

On 15 July 2026, the Universität Duisburg-Essen hosted the Final Conference of the Erasmus+ project FUTURE-STEM-HUB, bringing together educators, project partners, and stakeholders from across Europe to celebrate the project's achievements and explore the future of AI in STEM education.

The conference showcased the innovative results developed throughout the project:
🧠 Digital Primer: AI Essentials e-course
🔬 Delving Deeper in AI with Python and Scratch
📚 E-Toolkit for Teachers.

These resources demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be meaningfully integrated into teaching and learning, empowering both educators and students with future-ready skills.

Participants also took part in a series of inspiring hands-on workshops, exploring practical AI applications for the classroom - from creating interactive learning materials and using Google's Teachable Machine to building AI fluency for educators and connecting real-world industry examples with STEM teaching.

The day concluded with a plenary reflection session, valuable stakeholder feedback, and certificate handover, celebrating the successful collaboration of partners from Germany, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, and Türkiye.

As the FUTURE-STEM-HUB project comes to a close, we are proud of the innovative educational resources, international partnerships, and lasting impact created through this Erasmus+ journey.

A heartfelt thank you to all partners, speakers, workshop leaders, participants, and everyone who contributed to making the project a success. We look forward to seeing the FUTURE-STEM-HUB results continue to inspire STEM education across Europe!

On 14 July 2026, partners of the FUTURE-STEM-HUB project gathered at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany for the 4th Transnational Project Meeting - our final project meeting before the official project closure in August.

During the meeting, partners reviewed the project's achievements, assessed the progress of all work packages, discussed the remaining deliverables, and coordinated the final steps needed to successfully complete the project. Together, we assigned final responsibilities, aligned on deadlines, and ensured that all documentation and reporting requirements are on track.

Beyond the productive discussions, the consortium had the opportunity to strengthen partnerships during a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein, exploring the fascinating connection between the region's industrial heritage and the future of artificial intelligence. The day concluded with a partner dinner, providing a wonderful opportunity for informal exchange, reflection on our shared journey, and looking ahead to the upcoming Final Conference.

As we approach the end of the FUTURE-STEM-HUB project, we are proud of what we have achieved together and grateful for the excellent collaboration among all partners. The final meeting marked not only the completion of our project activities but also the strong partnerships and shared commitment to advancing STEM education and innovation across Europe.

📚 In this module, students can learn:

🚀 We are incredibly proud to share that four talented young women from Bulgaria successfully represented our country at the First Female Camp, held from June 15 to June 19, 2026, in Malta! Organized as part of the “CyberMe: Unleashing the Cyber Potential of Young Women” project, the initiative brought together 24 bright participants from Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, and Malta.

Our delegation immersed themselves in an environment designed to enhance their technical skills, foster cross-border friendships, and open doors to future careers in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity. 🌐🔒

The intensive five-day program began with interactive icebreakers before diving into accessible, core training modules. The participants explored online threats, computer networks, and ethical hacking to find and fix security flaws. They also gained hands-on experience with tools like firewalls and Intrusion Detection Systems, while learning about security policies, risk management (GRC), and how cybersecurity can be used for social good and humanitarian efforts.

Throughout the week, the participants put their knowledge to the test during an exciting international Cyber Treasure Hunt Competition. We are delighted to share that one of our Bulgarian representatives was a member of the winning team, which claimed the CyberMe First Female Youth Camp Champions Award!

More than a training programme, the camp became a space where young women connected across cultures, inspired one another, and formed professional networks that will support them throughout their journeys. 🤝✨

The first camp successfully equipped the participants with valuable expertise and deeply motivated them to pursue professional paths in the cyber field.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the incredible girls for their dedication, as well as to all project partners whose collaboration made this camp possible! ❤️

🚀 The CyberMe journey continues! Our partners are already preparing the Second Female Youth Cybersecurity Camp, where the young women will immerse themselves in real-world cybersecurity challenges and develop advanced digital skills.
