Communication & Netiquette 💬

Students from START-DS partner schools ОМГ "Акад. Кирил Попов" - Пловдив (Math High School “Acad. Kiril Popov”) СОУ Јосиф Јосифовски - Гевгелија Liceo Artistico Mengaroni explored communication and netiquette through the same learning activities delivered in two different ways – with and without digital tools.

Through practical activities, real-life examples and discussions, students explored respectful communication, online behaviour and responsible digital interaction.

📱 Digital or non-digital?

The collected feedback will help us understand which learning approach students prefer and which approach teachers prefer.

Two approaches. One learning experience.

📢 START-DS PROJECT – WP3.1 DISSEMINATION ACTIVITY

Within the START-DS project, results from Activity 3.1 were shared and discussed in an academic setting at the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław, Poland.

As part of the Psychology of Witness Testimony course, psychology students were introduced to key findings from the START-DS project report. The aim was to explore how psychological processes influence the role and reliability of witnesses in legal contexts.

Based on the project results, students were assigned a practical task to design lesson plans intended to prepare high school students for their potential role as witnesses in court proceedings.

This activity supported the transfer of research into educational practice and encouraged students to transform academic findings into practical teaching tools.

Two lesson plans were developed by students as a result of this work and are included as part of the dissemination evidence.

Key outcomes:
✔ Linking research with educational practice
✔ Developing applied pedagogical skills
✔ Strengthening critical thinking
✔ Promoting interdisciplinary learning (psychology & law)

This activity demonstrates how START-DS project results contribute to innovative teaching approaches and effective knowledge dissemination across European educational contexts.

📢 START DS Research Findings Presented at a National Conference in Poland.

We are proud to share that the results of the Erasmus+ project START DS – Smartphone as a Tool for an Active and Reflective Transition toward START DS Digital School were presented at the National Conference and Scientific-Methodological Seminar “Multidimensional Paths to Supporting the Well-Being of Children, Young People and Teachers in Inclusive Education”, held on 28 May 2026 in Jarosław, Poland.

During the conference, Prof. Agnieszka Lewicka (UMCS, Lublin) presented selected findings from the international research conducted in Poland, Bulgaria, Italy and North Macedonia. The presentation focused on teachers’ opinions regarding traditional and digitally supported teaching methods and explored the impact of digital technologies on student engagement, participation and collaboration.

The findings highlighted the importance of balancing established pedagogical approaches with innovative digital solutions to create inclusive, supportive and high-quality learning environments that respond to the needs of today’s learners.

The conference brought together researchers, educators, psychologists and practitioners from across Poland, providing an excellent opportunity to share the outcomes of the START DS project with the wider educational and scientific community.

📚🌍 START DS Project – Task 3.1

On May 11, 2026, Professor Agnieszka Lewicka from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University held a meeting with third-year students in the Social Rehabilitation Education program.

She presented the results of a survey conducted as part of Task 3.1, involving students and teachers from secondary schools in Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Italy, and Poland.

👥 The students actively participated in a discussion on methods of educating young people, exchanging opinions and experiences related to contemporary educational approaches.

🌍 Activities such as these strengthen international cooperation and support the exchange of educational practices across Europe.
