Qualifications
Excellent command of ENGLISH and BULGARIAN

Responsibilities
• Design, development and evaluation of techniques and algorithms based on artificial intelligence (AI) related to user behaviour.

• Identifying gaps and proposing appropriate scientific solutions.
• Implement and evaluate generative AI technology to improve customer experience.

Доклад на Богдан Георгиев от Google DeepMind, възпитаник на ФМИ, на конференция Celebrating the Consortium IMSAC, 7.08.2026 г.

От 5 до 8 август 2026 г. в ИМИ-БАН ще се проведе конференцията Celebrating the Consortium IMSAC - https://icms.bg/celebrating-the-consortium-imsac-international-conference/. Конференцията събира изтъкнати математици от редица водещи научни институции. Сред потвърдените лектори са Phillip Griffiths, Ron Donagi, Tobias Ekholm, Tony Pantev, Stefan Ivanov, Vestislav Apostolov, Ludmil Katzarkov.
Особен интерес за по-широката академична общност представлява участието на Богдан Георгиев от Google DeepMind, възпитаник на ФМИ (бакалавър випуск 2013). В края на месец юли той взе участие в панелна дискусия относно ролята на изкуствения интелект в математиката като част от Международния конгрес на математиците във Филаделфия, САЩ (ICM 2026). Той също е съавтор на научна разработка по тази тема заедно с Terence Tao, Javier Gómez-Serrano, Adam Wagner.
Докладът му ще се състои в петък, 7 август, от 16:00 часа в зала 403 на ИМИ-БАН. Следват заглавие и резюме.
Title: Some Applications of Agents and ML Algorithms in Mathematics
Abstract: The integration of AI and Machine Learning techniques has had a transformative effect in scientific discovery, with applications ranging from numerical computations to complex abstract reasoning. In the talk we discuss some recent advances with a specific focus on applications within research mathematics. We survey several recent use cases, examining the deployment of AI agents and specialized ML algorithms across various problems. Building on these examples, we reflect on how such tools could empower researchers and enable new modes of collaborative efforts."

Институт GATE, в партньорство с Факултета по математика и информатика към Софийския университет „Св. Климент Охридски“ обяви кандидатстването за две напълно финансирани стипендии Google DeepMind AI Masters Scholarships за академичната 2026–2027 година.
Стипендиите предоставят възможност на талантливи студенти да продължат образованието си в магистърски програми в областта на изкуствения интелект и свързаните с него направления в Софийския университет и да развиват знанията и уменията си в една от най-динамично развиващите се области на науката и технологиите.
През тази година броят на предоставените стипендии се увеличава от една на две, разширявайки възможностите за подкрепа на бъдещи специалисти в областта на изкуствения интелект.
